    Big ships? the "galleon" has only 30 guns, thats less than a frigate. Also, a ship with that many guns would probally not have two decks.

    As for costal artillery. Well, if you can fire heated 42-pounders then you should be able to completley own anything within firing range.

    Sure, the study showed a little more than that, but you have to question the usefulness.

    Thats what TCP does, just in a passive fashion. The sender queues all sent packets for resend, (on a delay) and packets are deleted from the queue when an acknowledgement for a range of packets is recived from the remote computer.

    One would hope that when you are in college, you realize why you are being taught things, instead of mindlessly studying for tests.
