Right, since because DC Comics' logo being on it for legal reasons mean they approved of it creatively.
Where did I say that DC had anything to do with creative control?
Nowhere.
The parent of my post said that the movie had nothing to do with the comic character, in fact the parent states outright that it's a movie that just HAPPENS to be called Catwoman, as if by pure coincidence. My point (along with others) was that the movie obviously does have something to do with the DC Comics character Catwoman (i.e. is a movie adaptation of the character) as shown by the DC Logo on the official site. I said nothing more, and nothing less. I didn't say anythign about good/bad/ugly, creative control, past movies, etc.
Way to utterly miss the point man.
Besides, DC has no contract with Warner Bros. as you state. You are completely wrong, man. Warner Bros. literally OWNS DC. Let me repeat that. Warner Brothers owns DC Comics. DC has little if any control over what happens with/in/to movies using their comic book characters, because the movie studio OWNS those characters!
3. A Google-News-like consolidation feature for the user's most-frequently visited news site, automatically highlighting stories of interest based on ones they've previously viewed.
I like this idea. Maybe something using RSS feeds that are automatically connected behind the scenes and updated frequently. But that sounds like it would be a more of a memory hog than Firefox needs. I know I really wouldn't *want* it.
How about...a Homepage that changes automatically. The program would be aware of the user's browsing habits and change the homepage all the time, so that when you open the browser you're looking at... well... things you may WANT to look at. Perhaps this too could work using RSS.
What do you think? A changing homepage presenting you with recent news stories derived from the topics that the browser knows you've been reading lately?
I've been thinking of trying out Tale for awhile now, but just really haven't gotten off my ass to do so, though it does sound promising. Now reading your post I feel a bit disheartened.
I don't disagree with your premise but somewhere along the line you lost me.
For my purposes, PvE treadmilling is brain-dead. So are the people who want to bake bread or whatever. Unless it involves engaging in combat or negotiations or meaningful dialogue with other human beings, why is it worth checking out of reality?
So...What about the entire HISTORY of single player videogames made before MMORPGs or MUDs were around (or popular, at least)? What about Zelda? What about Metal Gear? What about fucking Adventure? Hell... What about FreeCell? You need to refine your argument because essentially you just called everyone who enjoys playing a single player game insane!
You mentioned that you feel those people who "bake bread or whatever" in MMORPGs are kooky. What about people who bake bread in r/l? Do those people seem insane to you? Sure, the rewards are of different sorts, but in the end, they are still only that: rewards.
Um... The parent wasn't talking about LAN games. He just said that all the "real" gamers were playing games over LANs (i.e. instead of the MMORPGs he was refering to in numbers one and two)!
Lazarus will be available for users who own a copy of the original game, Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny* (PC Version only) and a copy of Gas-Powered Games' Dungeon Siege**.
Boring, maybe, but MMORPGs DEPSERATELY need some fresh ideas. Caneghem might be just the man for the job, especially hooked up with Garriot. Sounds like a good team to me and I personally can't wait to see what they come up with.
Come on... Attack of the Clones is embarassingly bad, yes, but what about THE PHANTOM MENACE?! Sounds like the title of a bad young adult book from 1983.
You make some good points, and I'd like to see most of the problems (and yes, I'm a OS X lover, and i'll bite: they're problems) you mention fixed.
But are you saying these are things that make the OS UNUSABLE to you?! I'm sorry but that's a bit ridiculous. Out of the hundreds (thousands?!) of things that OS X makes easy, you find 15 that it doesn't do that well. How many could be listed for other OSes out there?
Besides, most of this will be fixed in a short while, if the past three upgrades have been any indication of Apple's dedication to improving OS X.
I'm sorry to say that the more I read about this game, the worse and worse it sounds. It looks like the only thing "massive" on Cryptic's hands is a massive failure.
There's this little problem of no PC villians. 'Nuff said. I'm brushing off the "it would be too hard to do" or "they looked at it" excuse--that is no excuse. It wouldn't have been the first game to have a sucessful system with evil PCs.
Wow...
Sorry, true believers, this sounds like the setup to a major failure... No villians in a superhero game? I'm sorry, I wouldn't even consider playing it for that very reason; and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Seriously, the people we send to the moon and especially Mars need to work as a unit and either get along or be married couples.
Because we all know all married people get along, right?;)
Actually, and correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, Mac OS X doesn't do anything like this. OS X only simulates 3D graphics using 2D methods.
I am by no means a M$ fan, but what they're talking about should blow your PowerBook away.

Now go away!
http://catwoman.warnerbos.com/
That's the official site.
There's a DC Comics logo at the bottom.
'Nuff said.
Those Batmobile pics have been up on that site for months! Turn in your Fan Boy card by noon. That is all.
Parent, have you actually PLAYED this game? RtCW is tongue in cheek; that's the whole point, man.
What do you think? A changing homepage presenting you with recent news stories derived from the topics that the browser knows you've been reading lately?
- Linux Operating System:
- increased reliability and enhanced security (emphasis mine) minimises maintenance of the computer in the classroom.
Now...Am I the only one who still gets a grin out of stuff like that?Vector graphics take up less memory than bitmaps, and can scale up and down infinitely. Vectors rock, dude.

Are you sure you're just not creative?
Pay attention!
Score:3 Insightful??? What in the world? Who modded this up? You're fired!
Um....
Atari 2600?
Nintendo Entertainment System?

Yes, but check THIS out!

Who is talking about the movie Hellboy? There's a comic as well, case ya haven't heard, which has always had a very Lovecraft feel.
Come on... Attack of the Clones is embarassingly bad, yes, but what about THE PHANTOM MENACE?! Sounds like the title of a bad young adult book from 1983.
Anonymous? Check. Coward? Check. Ass? Check.
After DW: IW, I really believe that there is but one Deus Ex: Deus Ex. All the rest are spewing from some sort of global conspiracy.
