While Madden is the disputed leader of all NFL games, with this being the only year in a while where there actually was compition (ESPN Football), the truth of the matter is EA's NBA games are not that good. Plus, the NBA has a much greater numer of games that are NBA lisenced, such as NBA JAM, Ballers, Street(I know its EA, but still). I totally agree it doesnt make sense for the NBA to sign an exclusive deal with EA.
My favorite self-healing method is to take to asprin, and call myself in the morning. it works every time, and saves myself thousands in doctor bills....wait, that is self-diagnostic too! I am saving even more!!
I agree with your post, that they are just making you "buy" it instead of paying late fees. but I wonder if they will have to count it as sales, instead of late fees? I do see this policy causing sales to rise, especially in "pre-owened" dvds.
It is true that late fees are a huge revenue stream.

I agree with the writer of this article, even though i am not a fan of gratuitous flash. Too many people think more megapixles is better or even just a more expensive camera. I own both a 300D and a pentax optio s. The Optio S fits in an altoids tin and is always in my pocket. The 300D is better for taking pictures at a game, or wedding or what have you. However, if you dont know how to use the 300D, it will not result in better pictures then the little point and shoot.
Also, sometimes a little camera may have a feature that you really like, such as a super macro, or may have some feature that is completly useless, like "3-D mode".
Also, my 300D + two extra lenses and accesories makes a big little bundle to cart around. However, the little point and shoot fits very nicely in your pocket and is unobtrusive, and is very easy to carry about. if i am going to be spending say 2+ hours walking around on a vacation, i dont want to be carting around a backpack full of camera equipment!
The Bottom line is you need decide how you are going to use the camera, and what features best for your situation.
I have a PDA(Ipaq) and i have had some problems with the touch screen, especially when it gets greasy or dirty. I cant imagine how bad it will be when you are eating chips and playing on your DS. I wonder how well the screens will hold up then?
Hopefully the speech recognition software for PC is better than my phone. I have an LG phone, and tried and tried to get the voice dialing to work. it worked great when there two numbers, but was compleatly unable to tell the difference between "dad" and "dan". and that was with me training the phone. I know it will work one day, but i dont see my keyboard going away any time soon.
It would seem to me that part of the benefit of college is that you learn how to grow up and register for classes, show up, deal with administration, etc.
I made it through college, and now i have a job. What is next, no worker left behind? the Gov can call me every morning at 7:00a.m. to make sure i didnt oversleep? What we need is more personal accountability, not more Government!
Seeing as how silicon is derived from sand, I think it will be a while untill the run out...
However, If they could find a way to recyle old implants, I hear Pam Anderson could donate enought silicon to keep AMD in business til 2006

~2k lumens is what they say, obivously it depends on what the light in your living room is like...
It is a sweet way to play battlefield. Personally I still like my monitor for websurfing and coding, but the projector is awesome for games.
