if it's anything like fags, or other age restricted products here, once the clerk knew or suspected it was for a minor, then the clerk would be responsible.
dunno if they're available in america or not but the Orange Spv can be used as a pda, have gprs net connectivity, play games, play music (you can buy bigger sd cards to get more storage), play videos, have an extension that takes pictures and plus some more stuff. They're not massively sized, nice and compact with loads of functionality. Of course they're made by Microsoft so they'll not be popular around here, but they're pretty neat.
I played and loved this game when it first came out, a few months later i played it again. Then i got rid of it, and like the article says it's near impossible to play it again, the only place i found it was on Direct Connect and our uni network limits DC access
Seriously are you new here? An Infinium Labs type linux based console wouldn't be popular amongst developers due to the effort in porting games, plus i can't imagine a big company behind it.
A PC with hardware DRM would be the least popular thing ever on slashdot
Slashdotter A: Cool a linux based console!
Slashdotter B: Copy Protection? I'm not buying this. My console is mine i should be able to run what i want on it, not what some insensitive mega-global-corporation says i can.
Slashdotter C:
hahaha, you really think that people in China would buy games? Half the Windows game developers already won't sell there because of piracy. I can just see the game publishers now
A: "so whaddya think about this new linux thingy"
B: "uhh"
A: "well they've got a market share of 1.2 billion now"
B: "aren't they all chinese though"
A: "oh yeah, screw that"
RTFA "If VeriSign were to offer such a service, it would likely be of concern to Microsoft Corp and America Online Inc, which could stand to lose money, as well as the intellectual property lobby and advocates of adherence to internet standards."
If there was something that could be practically be done about it don't you think that AOL or MS would do it?
BBC article about it
my former bus just used whatever lane it wanted, probably cut 10 minutes off of our journey (into a small-medium british town)Bus's rule.
using your cellphone while driving is ilegal here, doesn't parts of America have that law?
don't let them play one of those sub-par generic ea games. Get them to play Pro Evolution.
depends where you go for it, from 18+ a month afaik. I'm posting this from my 6ish a month university connection though :)

at least it'd stop the ozzies getting the ashes i guess.
heh, the device won't be $129 once people realise they have to pay SCO another $699
you didn't like any of the star wars games?

I agree more of this type of world changing news should be posted more often
if society can eliminate everything apart from arts and research then no-one should have to work in my pinko commy opinion
Twenty levels? I was bored with the repetitiveness after three.

Netscape 4 on the other hand will render substantially different i'd imagine.
British Telecom claimed it had a patent on hyperlinking, it went to an american court but i they got ruled against i believe.
i dunno about that, i can't really see rap music, or dance music being influenced by the beatles

siphon of the wealth of the US? What are you talking about, this whole thing is because it's cheaper for the American corporations this way.
