I wasn't surprised... let me rephrase that: "Vulnerabilities hit the news and it turns out the application has already been patched for a while? I'll take that over the alternative, anyday."
Instead of helping someone build the circuits they require and possibly learn something in the process, let's just remind them that they're only above average, and thus shouldn't even bother.
Ok, but what about the DAC? Unless you're using the digital out, you're at the mercy of the quality of the audio circuitry in the airport itself. While it might be as good as your on-board sound, I couldn't imagine it being able to compete with high-end gear.
Yes, god forbid people enjoy rhythm-centric music once in a while instead of melody-drvien stuff. It's "against the rules" to not use all the same musical elements that my favorite music uses.
Right. But I know for damn sure that any professional grade audio interface will outperform the best consumer grade card. Even though you can't tell how it will sound by looking at the (usually fudged) numbers, you'll at least be in the ballpark.
MOTU, M-Audio, Digidesign, and many other companies make audio interfaces capable of 24 bit 96 Khz audio encoding and decoding, which is well above the 16 bit 44.1 Khz that CDs use. Any of them should do.
If you don't know who will recieve your encrypted information then there's no point encrypting it in the first place!
Securing the data from interception and tampering is much more important than verifying the identity of the server. How many people click the padlock each and every time they visit a secured site, anyway?
When you start the application, or create a new entry, the cursor should automatically show up in the first field. Then once you start typing, the focus should never jump to another field mid-word.
Aside from the security issues, this is why I can't use IE.
When Microsoft released their Antispyware, everyone said, "Oh, well, Microsoft didn't do anything, they just bought the software from Giant.". Now that there's a problem, "Whoa, Microsoft's software really sucks. It's sure is all their fault."
In 2001, a friend of a friend had a projecter that was about a 5" sphere with a triangular base. He said it cost less than a hundred dollars in Japan, and would project about a 30" image which while dim was certainly viewable.
I don't know why they're not available here yet, but I've never seen one.
How could someone actually read someone else's email without their permission? Next these crackers will be listening to other people's phone calls. Then what, a knock on the door in the middle of the night?
The fee is supopsed to pay for people to pick through the refuse at the dump and pull out computer parts to recycle (like they do with other recyclables).
Here in CA, we just started charging a mandatory $8 recycling fee for all monitors. I think that goes from something like 8" to 30", no distinction between CRTs and LCD/Plasma.

I'll take it.
If the poster has above average soldering skills, I'm sure he can work a multimeter.

Right, I'm sure the S/PDIF works well enough, but I have a hunch that I woudn't be too big a fan of the 1/8" line out.

I guess you missed the word "or", you dumbfuck.
Are you really asking why he's following his own artistic vision instead of making what's most popular to the common denominator?
Your attitude is what's wrong with the music industry today. You are responsible for Ricky Martin and the Spice Girls. How do you sleep at night?
According to Webster, music is "Vocal or instrumental sounds possessing a degree of melody, harmony, or rhythm."
So, assuming you're actually tone-deaf enough not to detect variance in pitch of rap vocals, your definition of music is flawed anyway.

DK Mountain or Bowser's Castle, you and me... let's do this!
The gods do not subtract from the allotted span of men's lives the hours spent playing Mario Kart.

(golf clap) Very nice :)
Yup, and at that point I'll trust it.
Am I the only one who would hesitate to be the first resident of an inflatable Vectran habitat in space? I'll wait 'till V2.0, thanks.

Pick a side, people.
Your mom.

You could create a striped RAID array, copy your sensitive encrypted information to it, and you each go on your way with one of the units.
Not until you reassemble and say, "Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!" will the data be accessible again (a la Ford Fairlane).
Could happen.
