We have this game. Very simple to play. It won game of the year like settlers. We too were looking for something new to play. We have either worn out our settler friends or we just don't have time to play settlers.
The goal of this game is to get the most trains, with other points coming from meeting certain destinations. I think it is kind of like settlers crossed with something more simple.
he feels it is his job to keep the political mumbo jumbo away from us engineers. it even means he takes on some of the stupid and mundane assignments but boy it makes work much nicer knowing we have someone fighting the system for us.
I have played with Maxima a little bit. I think it is a decent peice of software. It started out as a government research app that was later open sourced. Unfortunately development is slow (if even existent) but on windows it did a fairly good/fast job of calculating funny integrals. They plotting features are decent also.
It is much closer to mathematica than matlab. I don't know how it compares to mathcad.
Been using mythTV for over a year now and commercials ARE that bad. My broadcast channels show commercials that are far worse than any commercials on my dishnetwork channels.
Once you are used to watching commercial free and something happens (computer crash etc...) and you watch TV you feel assaulted after watching the commercials. I don't want to know (nor my kids to know) about the newest (fe)male enhancement drug. I don't care about the next episode of some stupid sitcom with low ratings.
People say tv makes you dumber. I would have to say that commercials just add to that. Why waste 15 minutes watching an hour show when you can watch it later and in shorter time
The only dissadvantage to not having commercials is trying to make time for a pee break(oh I guess that is what the pause button is for)
I don't think (most) people are just randomly moving stickers usually they are putting the stickers to solve the cube. However if you do just move stickers yes it very easily could be unsolvable.
The internals are identical peices each corner looks the same and each edge looks the same and each center looks the same. You could make two colors from opposite ends of the cube to be edge "buddies" (whole cube face same color--a solution) and the solvers will fail (if they depend on color positions)---yet the cube still can be solved.
you may be right, but I guess I never had to "knowingly" conform to what they thought math was to get a good grade. If I could find the answer to the problem (maybe from some round about approach) it was correct.
I think that is the point math (in many circumstances) has a correct answer (and there are also many problems that have no answer yet...)
My teachers may have wanted me to follow their given procedure but when I got the right answer they could not discredit me for my procedure (of course if I showed it to them. eg taking the limit as h approaches 0 of... instead of the simple d(x^2)/dx = 2x)
There is more than one way to skin a cat. In the end the cat is always skinned. In English/writing classes the result is not always wanted. They want the procedure.
I never really had to write much (except my thesis) as an engineer. Math does not conform to a teacher's perception. It is proven in mathematical ways. If you thought education somehow meant intelligence you are again wrong. Although I do think there is a trend. Most intelligent people acquire and education and most "dumb" people don't.
Also if you can change you writing abality based on the conditions/teacher. I would also call you intelligent. It is not always easy to change ones style and thought (albeit for a grade)
I guess I will start wrapping all my cards in aluminum foil before leaving home.
Anyone know of a good metal wallet. If the frequency is low enough a rough chainmal or mesh should do the job.
If you are going to have outsiders work in your home, get fvcking COMFORTABLE with watching them. Security does not mean paranoia, but monitoring is perfectly legitimate.
Except when it is your boss monitoring you at work. I understand that a baby is different than a computer or a 3 million dollar digimahookey that you work on. But really where can anybody draw the line between "security" and "privacy".
If you are going to monitor your baby make sure the babysitter knows. They may be offended and not watch the baby, but I think it is their right to decide whether they want to be watched also.
I think Paint Shop pro is called basic because of it's basic pricing. Heck, it can't be good if it costs less than a new car;)
I have used PSP since version 5 and I have also played with photoshop. I think psp is very competitive in features people use.
I especially like the new scripting functionality. You can automate a lot of common fixes/thumbnailing...
Perhaps if you are smoking in my rented apartment I can kick you out.
However there needs to be some contract stating this before I can kick you out.
If these apartment complexes have a lease conditions "are subject to change" then this letter could be the one change.
Even though the use of the 2.4GHz spectrum is not unlawful. I am sure they all get a very cruddy connection. They can get free wireless from the school (of course using school proxies...).
I would imagine that some of the APs are being used as lan routers to a desktop pc and the wireless would just need to be disabled.
And the new (proposed) n standard is backward compatible with both b and g. They even say it speeds up the b and g network.... We will have to see about that.
I have had two sound cards that didn't automatically turn on in windows xp. The first is cmedia motherboard audio and the other is an AD (I think AC'97 compat..). Both have been detected in linux (the cmedia since version 8.0 of a couple major distros) and the AD one works with almost all current distros.
When I want either of them to work in windows I have to go and download a driver.
having said that winxp is not ready for mainstream. That must be microsoft's achilles hill.
I remember when the local kinkos copy center had a shareware vending machine. For one dollar you could get a floppy disk with several shareware games on it.
It was great when the local bbs didn't have the games and they kept it farely well upgraded.

Hey it is free so at least give it a try.
I only speak binarise so I would better understand:
10+10 = 100
That would be pretty secure I think.
No network, no spyware!!!

The thing that shocked me about the exit polls was the split based on income....

Yea!! Lots of windows to manage and lose. I can't stand using a program that is organized! ;)
Maybe by release 2.0 they will have it panelled like gimp 2.0.
And yet we all forget that it against debate rules. That doesn't matter at all. Why does Kerry not have to follow the rules.
If Bush pulled a pen out, there would be millions of conspiracies about that.

There will be demostrations to stop harvesting wind.

highest-quality counterfeit currency ever detected
Yeah those who do better are never detected. He is still not good enough obviously.

less is smart. more (classic more that is) is dumb. less added moving through a document without re-"more"ing it.
less also is GNU
What really motivates people to write extensive information about a subject? How reliable is the information the some John Doe submits?
and many people are switching to Mozilla variants because of security reasons.
I never new microsoft was selling IE. I also do not think it was the killer app that kept windows sales up.

These CDS are great for network hacking^H^H^H^H^H^H^H security. You can scan for bad packets and find a problem node on the network.
