So the first few seasons sucked but when they realized they were in trouble they started to get their act together and when they were cancelled they got even better? When I hold up this information next to the politics surrounding Firefly a theory emerges: The way to get good sci-fi is to give them the budget they need but keep them thinking they're about to get canned unless they make tv gold.
This has two benefits. I keeps everybody hungry and desperate which brings out the best effort. It also unites the fans and mobilizes them to do a lot of grass roots marketing.
So if I follow the logic if a BSOD is a 'guarded' error and a RSOD is a 'severe' error then a green SOD is a 'low' error, a yellow SOD is an 'elevated' error, and an orange SOD is a 'high' error.
Oh hell, I can't remember if we're talking about windows errors or terrorist threats. Though, TBH, there are probably times when they are one and the same.
So far all the comments I've read say it's a trap. I can't help but be reminded that just last night on Law & Order one lawyer said to the other "You called this meeting. You're the more desperate. Your position is weak and we both know it." (I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea.)

Do lawyers actually have the right to make work by stirring up trouble and finding reasons to sue people? Isn't that a bit like an auto body shop that covers the streets in nails & broken glass?

I seem to recall the EU pulled a similar move so they could get a better deal from MS. It's pretty shrewd - at first they win points from the technocrats for going open source, then they win points from everybody else for getting the price of windows cut and in both cases the news reports, by a nd large, make them look good.

b) I asked why the parent had a problem with it, because all they did was rail anon posters without explaining why it was bad. You don't need integrity to report on the wrongdoings of the company you work for.
Addendum: being a hypocrite or lacking integrity doesn't matter as long as what you say has merit. I mean Nazi scientists said that eating healthy and exercising was a good thing. Should we stop doing those things because they were evil? Does it make what they say any less true? So what if someone blogs anonymously, as long as they speak truth?
I feel the same way (about being open and honest), but then I have to remind myself that the world is mostly cowards trying to get in the way. Standing by your principles is a hard thing to do.
I won't bother asking if you're genuine or hypocritical because it doesn't matter. What does matter is: what's wrong with being anonymous? If it helps people who are less courageous to speak up then isn't it a positive thing? All you've done is rail them without explaining why you think it's a bad thing.
