Actually, I'm thinking it's more of a game of Russian Roulette - and there's a full clip in the gun. SCO is definitely trying to get someone else to be next.
Hello, I'll be your Microsoft representative today. Our newest software releases - codename "orange clothing" - are fully Secure Computing(tm) enabled, and features Digital Restriction^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hights Management, firewalls and authentication mechanisms built into your hardware. You will no longer be troubled by the issues arising with "Open Source", and you are now also able to buy entire server farms straight from us - your beloved Government.
Right.
I'm sure it doesn't matter that WoT got the "Action game of the Year" award from Gamespy, back in '99?
The problem with WoT was that it was too complex for the average gamer.
You don't want six different shields, you don't want three different ways to stop someone from attacking you.
Unreal 2 was another matter entirely.
If you don't have good story-writers, it doesn't matter how much talent the rest of the team has.
LegendEnt have come up with some really nice gameplay (see WoT's citadel mode, for instance).
Their skinners, modellers, map makers and scripters are brilliant.
The soundteam for WoT was awesome (To the point that I bought Andy Frazier's CD with WoT-inspired music)
I'll most definitely miss Glen, Scott, Mike and all the others from Legend.. and I hope they stay and work in the industry
Instead of shutting down the studio, they should simply look at getting some real talent for story-development. ..
That said, dell boxes are far from "generic". For instance, they have a dos (pc-dos, afaik) based boot-menu, license embedded in the bios and what not.
Well, My xp2100+ (1.733Ghz) is currently running at close to 2250MHz (195fsb, 11.5x Multiplier), which is over a 500MHz OC.. I'd call that a pretty nice OC, as it's still only cooled by air. . .
It's safe from any force known to man, yet here we go, slashdotting their server, making quick on-line retrieval of even the tiniest record impossible.
I'm looking forward to the long version of New Spring, due early January. It's the first of the prequels jordan is writing - Starting with Rand's birth on Dragonmount. Hopefully it'll let Jordan stop getting lost in his own threads for a while.

<gollum>Leave now, and never come back! </gollum>
You're wrong.
I work at a lan cafe, and we regularly have girls ( 15 - 24-ish ) playing during the nightgibs.
Sharing bookmarks on a LAN is both great and troublesome. How do you implement this easily and quickly in a Windows environment without Rendezvous?
You use IE along with a shared directory, since bookmarks are stored as simple files
*GRIN*!

We have some 90 Dell Dimension 8300 boxes here at work. Black & dark-grey are the only colors they come in, afaik.

There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time :P
