Through some devious tricks (compare user's ip-address against a range of ip's where a friend of mine usually comes online from), i had a fake newsarticle show up on a popular Counter-Strike website.
While the article was vague on details, it essentially said that my friend was going to be replaced (he's the manager of one of the top-teams, sadly).
Of course, I topped it off with a small picture saying he was owned thoroughly;)
Apparently, he had his phone up, ready to call the people mentioned in the article before he saw my picture...
"I really hate you right now. I've never had such a shock. I don't wanna talk. *click*" That's how a phone-conversation went five minutes later:P
Aye, forgotten realms or dragonlance would've been nice. You think the "Million Gnome March" in World of Warcraft was something? Just imagine a "Million Kender March", with everyone having an automatic pick-pocket ability. . .
Older. I remember working on a system for bookable gaming-servers a few years back (2½ - 3 years, IIRC). NS was one of the more popular games, and yeah - it rules! There just ain't something quite as nice as having a Onos rampage into a military base, trampling people and structures as you go:)
man is not nice enough. while the information is correct, man-pages suffer from severe information overload - something the average user certainly won't appreciate.
Some countries also prefer free healthcare.... and a unemployment that's possible to live on (think rent + electricity + food).. and government-paid salary when a company goes bankrupt
Income tax in Stockholm is around 30% The VAT/GST is 25% Employer tax (which us mortals never see) is 12%
Of course, if you're clever you can get rid of a lot of VAT/GST by simply purchasing things you need to be able to do your job. Myself? I'm just waiting to deduct my new a64 3500+ rig, my new tv + stereo ("video-conferenceing equipment") - and my ISP bills.
Trust me - us Swedes can be really sleazy when it comes to claiming our money back - so in the end, it's not really that expensive.
Wow! This is turning out to be a remarkable year!
Not only are we getting Linux on the Desktop, but we're also getting AMD in Dells!
Just like last year!

"They should have donated theire salaries insted"..
First of all, donations are tax-exempt.
Secondly, they *should* not have have donated their salaries, but they *could* have (and quite possibly do donate a bunch every now and then)
Right now, they're simply making sure the company isn't wasting resources on paying people who have plenty of it.
Tax-trick? Yes.
Evil? Fuck no.

I don't live in the states, you Insensitive Clod!
Sorry, I don't think empathy comes in pills.
Do you seriously have to karmawhore with this post in EACH AND EVERY THREAD?
No, really?
Your posts are more repetitive than Evil-Bit posts from April last year (or was it the year before?)
"Nothing for you to see here. Please move along."
That actually describes slashdot with 100% accuracy for April 1st.
By gathering 50 people, forming the outline of male genitalia when seen from above?
.. Sony Said PS2 Will Be Able To Render ToyStory In RealTime. . .
You've GOT to be kidding me. .
Yeah, I'm sure MS will try again after what happened last time. . .

They most definitely do. :P
Which is why I can't post as an AC from home any more. . .

Sure, but that'll be one pint :)
What you need is clearly the best support-system in the world: the Pint Support System.

Actually, they're listing the GC game - with screenshots and everything.
IIRC, Minish Cap was available in late December last year.
