Video will be available after the conference, probably for money. The radio station's operating off donated bandwidth, and we have nowhere near enough for video streams.
For those of you that can't attend, there will be an internet radio station (which I am helping put together) from and about the conference (details here: http://radio.hope.net/ ), with interviews and news and other bits from the con.
It's not like Whedon's a spring chicken when it comes to storytelling. And it only went for 13 episodes (and a movie) out of a few planned seasons, so there are obviously still stories to tell.
This is the website of the School Paper which has been working hard at reporting on the shooting. It's also managed to push out some of the facts surrounding the case (like the 32 dead) before anyone but the AP.
Well, from the elapsed time and distance from the initial shooting to the secondary, and mass-casualty, one it seems clear that he made a choice to go to Norris hall. I doubt it was an anti-nerd crime, it seems more likely that the initial shooting drove the shooter mad (or wanting suicide by cop), and he went to Norris due to some unknown reason or by familiarity.
Yes, but you make more than 67,000 USD a year. The median income in the good old US of A is $46,326 in 2005. You make more than most people in the US, and that kind of scheme wouldn't really work for you... unless you get cancer, or some other sort of medical nightmare scenario. If you're poor and have asthma, this is a great scheme. Let's say you make 30,000 a year, under this scheme you're only paying 450 dollars a year for health insurance. Granted, this doesn't factor in how expensive prescriptions would be, but if Canada is a good example of bargaining with the drug companies, odds are that person would be paying less.
Socialized medicine isn't for the rich. It's for the poor. 67k+ isn't really rich in today's terms, but it's by no means poor or even lower middle class.
Honestly, why does it need to be a response? Aqua's great, but it's a few years old at this point. Is there any evidence that this isn't just a v2 with new features for Leopard? Seriously, Apple can do something without it being a response. I mean, we're not saying that Photoshop CS3 is a response to GIMP (which personally I think is a valid comparison for Aqua/Aero (no offense to GIMP, it's good for what it is, it just isn't there yet)), so why does Illuminous have to be anything other than an upgrade to a well-liked existing product?
Assuming euroland isn't a themepark on the continent, wouldn't a British shop give change in Pounds? Last I heard the pound was doing better than euro, and the British weren't consenting to a changeover.

Let us observe:
Q. When will a Mac ship with a Blu-ray drive installed?
A. Some are hopeful with Oct/Nov. Doubt it. 100% Blu-ray will be built-to-order in January 07.
Q. Any changes to the iMac?
A. Externally, the iMac is a homerun. No.
Q. What Apple products will ship with the Intel Core 2 Duo chips?
A. Only Intel and Steve know.
Q. Any cool features expected in Leopard?
A. General unification. Good-bye brushed metal. Mail and iCal integration. Stronger Front Row features. And as I said, more iChat.
This person sounds a bit too... canned, short. Sentences. To be. Real.
Steve Rambam is a licensed private eye, and according to the guinea pig (I'm attending the conference) he signed a waiver and Steve used only legal databases. Steve was also running an intensive mini con on the 6th floor (Hope is on 2 and 18) and was arrested after that. That mini-con was private-eye oriented, not hacker.
I represent the Cult of the Miniature Giant Space Hamster, and we would like to correct your previous statement. You have misrendered the glorious mentor Minsc's famous quote, with which we end our prayer services. It is correctly rendered "Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!! RRAAAAWRGH!!!"

Wait, so does that mean we're just revolutionaries? Or that we're fighting the revolutionaries? Or are we fighting the counter-revolutionaries? And I don't think we're really fighting revolutionaries if the revolutionaries have overlords. Does that mean we're fighting ourselves?
No no no, you don't jump straight to the combination on the luggage line. First comes the "that sounds like the kind of combination an idiot would have on his luggage" and then comes your line.
Another +5 funny could have been milked from that joke, but noooo, you had to ruin it and skip a line.
I don't know, the DNC's web site has publicly viewable comments and they don't seem to have many troubles with them.
However, no comments is better than the half-assed system the RNC has, where you are asked to give your real home address before you can post or view comments. Kind of defeats the point.
Also collaborative humor is nothing new either. Most comedians will admit to blatantly stealing other people's funny and using it, so I don't find it suprising it's been wikized.

Speaking of Rand, anyone else getting a flashback to Anthem from the premise/title?

Quote the head: Stuff That Matters. 31 killed on a College campus, a majority in a EE/CS building, well, it just damn Matters.

Steve... you're sitting down.
It's Microsoft, they use their own from the pits of Hades they were granted control over in the 90's.
Do you really want to boot out of OSX?
