    There are formerly indie artists that are now funded ... by major labels.


    It's all semantics, but I don't consider "indie" a musical genre like I think some people do.

    You ask for indie artists that aren't signed to a major label. That's all of them. Indie stands for independent, as in independent of the major labels.

    I agree with the second part of what you wrote. I like the bands I like, RIAA affiliated or not. Used CDs do indeed rock.

    Sorry, I misunderstood your earlier comment. I thought you meant playing tracks in sequential order from the CD (i.e. track 3 followed by track 4).
    I agree with you, if I really want to hear a song again, I can manually intervene, and I don't want my mp3 player to play the same track back to back.

    Actually, I just finished filling out my tax forms in North Carolina. There is a spot to fill out to get credit for out of state sales tax, in addition to the "use tax."

    He died too late to remove his name from the ballot. They continued with the understanding that his widow would be appointed if he won. So, while technically Ashcroft did lose to a dead man, he really lost to a dead man's widow, who had no previous elected experience. That may be even worse.
