in the process of keeping kids healthy during school hours and during sporting events, especially in light of what recently happened in Louisville, KY. Max Gilpin was killed when his coach, Jason Stinson, wouldn't allow the team to have any water breaks nor keep track of the team's vital signs.
Nah, looks like LifeHacker is just using this opportunity to diss other WebKit-based browsers what are not Chrome (think Chromium, Safari, Midori here).
We're forced to use IE6 at work - Mainly because IT understands the security risks (significant, but understood) and their web-apps are written to support it. Upgrading is too expensive expensive right now - Especially when the suits realize that we'll have to do it again later. Think of the brake-recall equation from Fight Club - The result is tragic, but real-world rather than ideal. So, IE6 endures...
Yeah, no kidding! So because of being tied to IE6 at work, I have to use Google Reader instead of Feedly (which is much better) to read my RSS feeds. It makes me wish I had a netbook.
and some of these McD's have television in them nowadays, especially the ones on/near busy thoroughfares. Some other locations have even tried putting in lounge chairs where you can sit and enjoy your coffee. Hell! Why not turn these into hotels, not that I oblige any of this.
and for that matter it seems logical for Google to make Android available on more smart phones in the US (in addition to the G1 that is). So why not start with the iPhone?
You can already do that with Orbit, best Windows app there is for that kinda' thing. Not sure what's out there on the Mac or on Linux for doing stuff like that though.
Sabayon. That's gotta' be one of the worst mashups of a Gentoo-based Linux distro I've ever seen. I know Sabayon was supposed to be a gaming-oriented distro, but did they have to uglify it and bloat it the way they did?
Maybe a surprise test of the system as directed by NBC-Universal. Tivo and its brethren must think that they don't have to do this because they're non-PC hardware makers.
Well isn't it obvious that the airlines would eventually have to follow Amtrak's lead, by putting a 'quiet room' somewhere on the aircraft like Amtrak does on its trains? I know this might not work except on a larger aircraft such as a 787 or an A380, but it's just a thought.
...and for the less fortunate, the old stuff is easier to afford. Electronics manufacturers and retailers would rather shoot themselves in the head before lowering the prices on ATSC-compliant TVs 30" or larger. It looks like the wave of the future is going to be small to mid-size SDTVs or EDTVs.
Well I'm sure a Linux version of Safari would be made available in short order since OS10 is Unix based in the first place. Ubuntu with Safari bundled into it would rock.
That'd more than likely raise the ire of Mr Softee and his legal eagles. Besides, the Zune Phone (if it ever shows up) will be more entertainment-centric, as will be the iPhone.
4) Use a hardware DVR (outside your Tivo, thinking multi-function camcorder or one of Archos' portable DVRs here) and then dump the stuff into your PC afterwards. I have one of Aiptek's multi-function camcorders. It does a nice job of recording but it uses the ASF format for doing so and a half-hour show takes up just over 600mb of space. Oh well, better than nothing.
The backstage goings on may be but what you see on stage is 100% pure SPORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not quite that easy.

Well duh, everybody knows that one. Geez!
Cablevision is headquartered in and serves suburban NYC.
They're boxee also, get it? Yeah it'd be nice to get boxee running on this sucker. It'd make Apple TV look like a MacMini on crack.
Because they spend too much time reading the Wall Street Journal and watching CNBC. Just a thought.

So did I with Madden 09. The game copies to the HD rather quickly, twelve minutes in this case.
Feedly integrates with Google Reader and was specifically made for Firefox. Quite nice.

although they warn against it by making mention of the spam you always get when you read/send messages on Usenet. Doesn't bother me any.
Somebody needs to tell Boon Pickens about this one. Great source of motor fuel if we ever need it.

It's Fedora's wicked sister. Bleh!!

I knew that OSX Leopard was Unix all the time. Good Grief!

...but their many offspring on digital cable do.
