I doubt you'd be stuck there with a large supply of cigarettes. I think I'd be willing to put up with her smoking a pack or two over a long period of time....
A cubic meter is much bigger than your average gaming rig. I think I could fit 10 of my computer towers inside and still have half the area open for clothing and other accessories.
Your CVT probably gets better mileage than the 6-speed MT due to how the car is tuned. I'm willing to bet the 6-speed MT is more geared towards "sporty" handling than just practical driving. I don't have any experience with Subaru's, but I know getting a 6 speed MT Honda means it's the sporty model and it will get lower MPG than the 5 speed MT (which will have less hp). The V6 automatic Accord gets better mileage than the V6 manual Accord (coupe).
Assuming this can be done efficiently enough to take large scale, wouldn't this actually contribute to global warming? We're taking energy that normally would not hit the planet, beaming it down to use as a cheap source of electricity, which then gets turn into heat.
Right? Or would we radiate enough heat out of the atmosphere if we could stop using fossil fuels to negate it?
It is sad to see the NYT follow the WSJ's lead in this. I'm willing to pay for content, but they really do need to find a model that works and stick with it instead of changing it every 3 months. They are pushing long-time paying customers like me away.
You don't even know what NYT's model will be and yet you're already discounting it? Are you sure you're willing to pay for the content?
I've asked our local IT guy (contractor) if the company had any plans to upgrade from IE 6 and he said no. Our HQ is on the left coast and that's where the ISD dept. resides. There are probably a couple applications that won't work properly with any other browser and that's keeping us with 6. Around the country we probably have a couple thousand work stations.
I don't know anyone else who uses IE and hasn't upgraded to IE8.
In my case, if I'm well enough to sit at my personal computer and play games, I'm well enough to turn my work laptop on and at the very minimum keep up to date with email.
When I was playing WoW I'd always end up sick on patch Tuesdays which meant the server would be down most of the day anyway...:(
Well, books can be typed in braille, the kindle cannot... The issue might be that with a kindle, the e-books are very accessible compared to your standard book (probably cheaper?). Maybe the organization thinks it's an unfair advantage?
Whatever their motives, Google did the right thing, and in a big way. I didn't see Microsoft stepping up to the plate like that, Apple didn't step up to the plate like that, and I'll remember that when I choose platforms.
Wow you're an easy sell. So it means nothing to you that it took Google years of being Chinese government whores before realizing it might not be worth it?
My mom and grandmother use the "start cooking at 18:00" feature quite often when there's a big family gathering. It's easy to prep something early, put it in the oven, set the auto on/off feature and then move on to something else. That way you can plan for everything to finish up around the same time.
Don't worry. The government will pour a few billion more dollars into GM so Howie Long can make some more annoying commercials. With as much advertising I've seen from GM, I'm assuming that's where most of their bailout money went. I see 3 or 4 GM commericials for every 1 commericial from every other auto maker combined.

Sounds a bit like Settlers of Catan, a game a few friends and I use to play on a weekly basis. I'll have to try it out when I get home.
Well if my account was compromised, they'd only be spamming the spammers, since that's all that shows up to my hotmail account. It's my default email used when email is required for something.
My sister is a home care nurse and last week she had to visit a patient who just had some surgery. The patient's 40-50 year old son lived in the same house to take care of his mom. While my sister was trying to take care of the patient, the guy kept asking if she used computers much.. then he kept talking about how he is always playing Second Life. Then he told my sister that she should try it out and look him up in game...
I figure the guy was probably just an extreme introvert, though it really creeped out my sister (who is in her 20s). Now that I've read this article I think he was trying to lure her to the sex island. I'll have to forward this article on and tell her she got cyber hit on in real second life....
Guess I should have read the smaller print in bad font claiming they intended to turn no profit from it.... either way I think getting permission at the beginning probably would've been their best bet.
Most fan pages don't really have revenue other than ad revenue which probably isn't enough to pay for hosting most pages. A movie that was released in theaters is clearly out to make a profit.
If the movie was free to view by anyone, I would criticize Nintendo for this. I don't blame Nintendo for stopping others from profiting off their ideas, though.
I only pay $65/month through Verizon for my blackberry storm. I consider that a good deal since my co-worker has an iPhone 3G and pays $80/month for the same plan and the phones have very similar features.
I think it depends on your location. Where I live (ohio) most chain restraunts have had free wi-fi for at least a few years. When I'd travel to LA, the same locations that offered it free in Ohio now charged.
Of course it's more a novelty in my small city in Ohio.. very few people walk around carrying a laptop.
I spent 2 weeks in Japan (most of the time in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kyoto) and not once did I see a smart phone. Most people there use advanced flip phones. So smart phones have what, 5% of market share total and iPhone is 2.5% total? And that seems like a very generous guess based on my experience.
And I spent lots of time on the subway and various local trains and buses.
I doubt you'd be stuck there with a large supply of cigarettes. I think I'd be willing to put up with her smoking a pack or two over a long period of time....
And I detest smoke.

SWG (pre-CU) is still my favorite MMO. The Old Republic looks really interesting, which is the opposite of STO which looks rushed.

It's better than "Sagittarius Ao" (pronounced Sagittarius A-hole)

Obviously Comcast's reaction to this news will be to increase their fees to each consumer by $17.
We should also be paying $6/gallon for gas... pricing is relative.

The Japanese make fun of fat people that aren't sumo wrestlers. The Chinese make derogatory comments towards the Japanese calling them fat.
So no, it's not just an American problem. Maybe it's you who needs to get out into the world a bit more.

Here, you can have my nerd card for not only summarizing the episode but also providing the title and explaining the scene....
No, really.. you deserve it!
