    You need a competent IT team and infrastructure if you have a large and complex systems. I have seen SA come and go all the time quite frequently. All it takes is one small set of jump servers and hourly reporting of security audits. One unexplained suspicious activity and you are out.

    Whats the joke here ? considering the per capita income in the state of Karnataka ( Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka ) is 13,000$. A 50% increase above the per capita should definitely make the Indians happy in Bangalore.

    Similar story while landing into India. The Indian customs ( greedy as hell ) in fact scribble the high cost item serial numbers on your passport to make sure that you take the same item back when you leave the country - if its a one way ticket then just pay up the bribe or the worst case pay the full duty.

    I am really surprised how people can be easily misguided by blowing facts out of proportions by people like these agreed a [insert your choice: small/large/null] portion of IT jobs are moving to countries like India - but why stop at just IT ?

    What about walmart contracting almost all the stuff from China ? Look at the mills closed in SC as an example. The simple reason: money. I don't recall people crying so loud when everything is imported from china. I feel really ashamed when my gap jeans says make in mexico from us components.

    People - get the facts - its always been the money. Hell its happening even in India , stop whining about job loss and sharpen your skills instead for a better chance at the market.

    BellSouth considers numbers transferable.

    Transferable from one location to other within a restricted area. Ownership transfer isn't allowed.

    Saving my mod points and replying to this...

    You ( The admin contact on the account ) has means to change/transfer ownership of the domain name. Where as you do not have the similar control over changing the ownership on a particular line with your cell/landline number - the authority rests with the local tele company. Even you transfer the number to the buyers' home ( incase of land line ) or give out your sim card - the tele company holds you as as the legal owner for the account.

    Not in the US. If you look at the coverage maps of each provider you will understand the benefits of this deal. A combined map of Cingular and AT & T will provide a larger coverage area for all (new) cingular customers.

    Also, with the new Cingular Nation plan - you roam all the available GSM network through out the US with 0 ( zero ) roaming charges. And not to mention the choice of handsets I get. I think this deal will benefit the customer more than it harms.

    Infact I have migrated to debian to avoid the frequent updates that I was tempted to ( just because it was available ) in qw ( gentoo, mandrake, fedora ).

    A couple of months back - I was with slackware very happy - but got tried compiling everything from source.

    I am very much happy that debian is not releasing so often other than the security updates.

    Seems you haven't got bored with installing :-). I got bored reinstalling - so now I use Norton ghost. Reinstall in just 18 minutes :-). Upgrade your motherboard and get norton ghost and and antivirus free.
    N.B: Not associated with newegg - just love shopping there.
