You may have came in during the era of TFC but they did list the precursor to that; Team fortress for Quake. Even though there was always a huge battle between TFC and TF vets about which one was better but you still have to give credit to the original. I was introduced to the game in the earlier MPlayer days before the Quakeworld client and gamespy became available and would have to say I had never had as much excitement out of a game than playing matches in TF.
The problem I found with TFC is it did not reproduce the fast paced atmosphere I was used to in QWTF.
The problem lies with the government agencies who are unwilling to move from an ATM backbone. I integrate a secure mobile communications system that uses ATM as a T1 over a satellite shot. They have been giving us BS reasons to move to IP such as it doesnt provide the QoS that ATM does but they really do not want to spend the money to change their backbone. Everything in the government comes down to money and no one will get anything until one branch moves to IP first.... Thats what we are trying to do...
I'm a LAN integrator for a mobile military communications system that is used for passing of secret and top secret material... Our manual says it takes about 3 grenades in the hummer to format all the hard drives if they need to do it quickly:)
The computer doesn't need to be certified persay. Once you build any computer and it has been put into a secret network then it has become classified secret and cannot be logged onto an unclassified network (i.e. the internet).
I configure two different types of servers and workstations (secret and TS+) and i get my server builds from a part of the government but they are unclassified server images and builds. Once you build a computer and it enters a classified network then it becomes the classification of the network.
Same with any material... Once any classified secret or TS documents are loaded onto the machine then that machine is automatically classified to the level of the document for life and should be put in a strong room...
I had a chat with my cousins husband close to a year ago and he was working with a company that was creating a firewall for windows CE because they knew this would become a problem plus there are already numerous security flaws he explained to me which i forgot over the course of a year... so the idea of a windows CE firewall has already been in the works for some time...

that if someone has to pay a radio station to play a song, then chances are that the song is not that good?
usually a song sells itself to people and any good song shouldn't have to pay to be played.. if the listeners want to hear it, they will play it but they would be playing it for the wrong reasons if paid.
Many people have that same idea about NASA and its exploration, that it will not give any valuable insight or information regarding the universe. I would like to think out of all of the mysteries of earth, space is the biggest one. Hopefully one day there will be valuable insight and information that will support a need for NASA besides pictures and samples of surfaces that wont even make it back to earth for a more indepth examination. These probes may gather the specific information the scientists are looking for but maybe something new can be found from looking and studying it in person, and perhaps some new tests could be created that could give us the valuable insight we seek.

I chose the bob one and now i can make a talking bob to go with it! Hooray!
Look at me! maybe my first console was nes... maybe i was just talking about the nes ET... maybe you think that someone is always talking about the first ever made and that you will prove someone wrong...
My point was that ET for nes sucked horribly and i was using it as a point... thanks for the clarification which didnt change anything.
