Ok, so Mr. Gates makes all these speeches saying we need to better fund education in the US so we can have more skilled workers (to replace with foreign workers:p ). Fine. So why doesn't Microsoft start paying their share?
Microsoft processes a good percentage of all its revenue through a tiny office in Nevada. Why Nevada and not Redmond? Well, Nevada doesn't charge B&O taxes (or some other business tax) like Washington does. This saves MS _hundreds_ of millions of dollars every year. Meanwhile, Washington state has the 4th largest class sizes in the US, and the teachers are the lowest paid on the West Coast.
Apsfilter has worked well for me. The setup has a nice, simple text UI and while it still isn't as easy as Windows, its far less cryptic than CUPS and is nicely documented.
Supported printing types (From the site):
# Locally connected serial, parallel or USB printer
# Unix remote printer (lpd protocol)
# HP JetDirect card (lpd protocol)
# Network remote printer (lpd protocol)
# Windows remote printer (smbprint, samba)
# Appletalk remote printer (pap, netatalk)
I'd leave a friendly note on the unsecured computer warning that they shouldn't leave their network wide open, and to demonstrate the term "wide open" I'd fill the rest of their hard drive with copies of Mr. Goatse.
Too bad these fucking moals of mine get in the way...

It was shot as a reality show. Close your eyes and imagine... A house in the Hollywood hills where Chewbacca, an Ewok (yea, stock up on the Drano, the shower will DEFINETLY clog up), a couple of washed up robots, Jar-Jar and the rest of the gang are all living together. They all have to perform idiotic stunts to earn their food (Skippy peanut butter, Jell-O pudding pops and Schlitz malt liquor!) Every week the characters will put on a talent show (with themes like "Reenact Jack Soo's final episode on Barney Miller" or "Queer Eye for the Storm Trooper (they can keep the codpiece)". The television audience will then vote to eliminate or freeze in carbonite the character who puts on the worst act. The winner of the series will earn a dream vacation/vegas wedding with George Lucas himself!
If its any different than that, it will be pure crap, nobody will watch it and it will be filed away in the history of TV Land failures, right behind Cop Rock.
Pick one up on ebay for about $150. Easy config, quiet (I put little variable resistors on the itty-bitty fans, so its even quieter, and doesn't get too hot), low power consumption. Has two ethernet ports (could firewall/dmz) and a serial port if all goes to hell. Built in software isn't too bad either...
when my anime-induced seizures start. I can deal with the artwork. I can deal with the stories. What I can't deal with is the lack of fluidity in the motion of "anime"tion. It really looks like they cut corners and use two, maybe three frames per second so they can churn out movies like puppy mills. It hurts my eyes. Remember the Killer Japanese Seizure Robots?
The only _real_ sport this would be good for is Foxy Boxing!

If I choose not to decide, will I have still made a choice?
Q: Why don't the British make computers anymore? A: Because they couldn't find a way to make them leak oil.

See? I told you I was sick.
What's the Deli-o?
You sir, are a conspiracy nut.
Just calling 'em as I see em.

Once again, Gates has proven that talk is cheap.
