Yep, the future of the web is looking good, except for IE that is lagging behind. I wonder, why MS wouldn't just get over it and discontinue the development of its monstrous browser. They've lost the browser war, why wouldn't they put their resources elsewhere? At least IE8 is better than its predecessors and IE9 looks even better, but still..

Simply because they can set the default search to be bing... which will allow them to potentially reap the advertising revenue and search data for other web related projects.

They look at google and get giddy at all that money they could be tapping into.

That and they love the screams web developers make in frustration when dealing with their legacy.

I can vouch for the climbing tendency of spiders. It's kind of like some insects will run at you and attempt to hide beneath your feet. Looking for shelter, spiders I'd assume would be afraid of things like birds... a tiled floor must feel pretty exposed to the elements for them.

I've had a huntsman or two attempt to climb me too :)

The scary thing about huntsman (for people afraid of spiders) that I have found is the further I go north in Australia the bigger they seem to get and the faster they seem to move. Not sure if this is fact or just bad luck on my behalf :)

QLD huntsman seem ungodly fast and large... I just wish they'd stay outside!

Quite a while back I put my foot in a boot whilst wearing no socks only to discover that a large huntsman was under my toes... my instinctive reaction at that moment was to curl my toes up and stomp down.

    Spidery crunch. Ugh.

Scared of being bitten and halfway committed ... I pushed down for quite a while to ensure the poor little guy was dead :\

On the flipside from my personal experience:

The apartments where I used to live we had security patrols and security cameras. Even with these deterents four men brazenly walked into the "secure" undercover carpark, broke my steering lock, hotwired and rode my motorbike out and off into the night.

Yes, my bike could probably have been a bit more secure if I'd taken extra precautions but I thought that surveilence would have been a bit of a deterant. Evidently these criminals were aware of the effectiveness of such cameras.

The cameras caught them in the act of course but the video captured is of such poor quality that you couldn't pick someone out of a lineup even tho their faces were captured staring at the cameras.

The same night my bike was stolen a scooter also went missing. Weeks later another motorbike or two got knocked off, even after I had warned the owners of my loss and suggesting they up their security (such as chaining bikes to poles etc etc). There's only so much you can do however and all you really manage to acheive is slowing them down somewhat... :(

Altho there is the chance that these guys thought they were simply dummy cameras... even so the poor quality of them makes you wonder why the hell they even bother. All I can tell you is 4 white blokes stole my bike. That may help in a very few select circumstances... but I never did see my bike again. :(

Yes, it was insured. Thankfully. Now convincing the significant other to allow me to get another bike? You cannot insure that chance unfortunately. I ride the train to work now.

When the paid content updates slowly find their way to the players that aren't subscribing... that stuff.. it practically developed itself, right? I mean that didn't cost anything either... as someone not paying a subscription fee for content updates... I deserve 100% not to see adverts.

You don't see any coca cola zombies or any such things, it's done in what I'd consider a very smooth and stylish way. Hell you literally have to walk up to some to even see what the hell they say or are about... from a distance the grime and dirt covering them obscures them quite nicely... not to mention the poor lighting on most of them. It looks like a subway in real life... and funnily enough just like in real life I can ignore them and have been doing so for the most part in-game anyway.

At any rate a lot of the anger seems to be stemming from two types of people: people that haven't actually seen it in-game and people who probably wouldn't have subscribed/bought this game anyway. The few people I know in beta are not concerned, hell I haven't even seen a single friend of mine bring it up as an issue.
