In the absence of any real news Slashdot now considers the Pledge of Allegiance and Skittles to be nerdsworthy tech news (while rejecting legitimate stories as usual).
Suing thieves does not equal suing your customers. How anyone can call these people 'customers' is beyond me. These aren't casual downloaders, these are people who are downloading and distributing hundreds or thousands of stolen items.
because you have to verify your email address, presumably so people don't go through randomly registering phone numbers, or perhaps automating the registration of every phone number.
hell, i wouldve charged a couple grand and done a much better job. And while hundreds of thousands of developers are out of work good ole uncle sam forks out 3500 large to a billion dollar corporation for work that could be done for 1/1000th of that with a sense of quality and pride.

And McDonalds should shut down because people should know better than to eat that shit.
i'd rather watch a character drop a few subtle plugs such as drinking a Pepsi or eating a Snickers than have 20 minutes of each hour commercial breaks. The only thing that bugs me is the commercial breaks aren't getting shorter, if anything theyre getting longer in addition to the placements.

in most areas, at least where i live (MN), you don't have a choice of cable or phone companies. there is no taking your business elsewhere.
