No EA? I thought I heard something about them making lots of money and needing more game developers.
World of Warcraft allows users to make their own UI mods and addons using a combination of XML and LUA. The only problem (not blaming Blizz because they don't "offically support" it) is good and complete documentation is pretty much impossible to find.
There are plently of places with fragmented documentation but it's still a lot of trial and error/guessing. It also seems mod developers who started in the begining of the beta do not want to share their knowledge.
My advice to Take-Two is this: If you are going to talk it up make sure you document the damn thing.
" if that stops, we get stuck with nothing but incremental sequels to racing games, sports franchises, and the army men series."
I thought we already were. New creative games are becoming far and few between. It's sad but soon enough the "mainstream" game industry will be the same as Hollywood cranking out the same crap over and over again. Once and awhile there will be something new, but for the most part anything genuinely new will be from (or at least I hope) small independent game companies showing their thing at indie-game festivals.
Large consumption have their uses as well. I've killed off almost all the braincells which were storing images of Bill Gates 1983 Teen Beat Mag! On the downside I can't remember my cats name, or at least I think she's mine.
I know people who work at EB and Futureshop here. They say the same thing - boxes full of games in the back which aren't allowed to go on the shelf. If customers call they tell them they will have some in "in about a month or two".
"I have never had to que up or get lagged out on the Dalaran server."
I'm on Dal and I've been seeing a slow but steady increase of lag in the major cities.
"I also think Blizzard should be applauded for not shipping new copies of the game until the servers are stabilized."
No they shouldn't. Not only have they not been shipping new copies they have been forcing retailers to sit on the copies they have. Also it's not their concern for their current customers - it's PR damage control.

Not surprising Blizzard has "stopped production" and told retailers to hold the games. It's damage control. They have already pissed off 500k people and want to make sure they have noobs to replace all the players who will jump ship as soon as the next game comes out.
I'm just upset it doesn't meet the min. req. for World of Warcraft. I was seriously considering buying one if it did. Maybe down the road when I need a computer for browsing the web, and email I'll get one.

With the great working environment, flexible hours, and employee benefits at EA how can this not be good for DICE? oh wait never mind..

Maybe he tripped over his consoles power cord, or perhaps he was hit with a cord. Cords often strike when you least expect them.
Ever see a PHB trying to plug a network cable into a HDD?
"90 percent of all marine life and nearly three-quarters of land-based plants and animals went extinct"
And all this time I thought it was nine-tenths of all marine life, and 75% of land-based life that went extinct.

I hope they use birth control cause those would be some ugly kids.
I guess maybe now my Flamebait post http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=136393&cid=113 95058
Would be +4 informative now?
Yeah it's only like 50 bucks for both now right?
This sounds familiar.. wasn't this posted already?

I think the subject says it all. Guys like this make me feel shame for being a man.
I'm a Monctonian but Halifax is my favourite Maritime city to get drunk and fall down in.
Actually Lobsters are rarely red until you cook them. Greenish Brown and sometimes all blue are more common in the Maritimes (Atlantic Canada).
I'll have you know this can also be used for men - the dual shock controllers are excellent for stimulating the prostate, or so I'm told.
