I needed those 50 Monster Signas! Sure you can only equip one at a time and I don't have any jobs that can actually use it, but thats why I had to sell them on the Auction House. Of course that generated more gil than I could hold so I had to sell it in real life.:P
On a serious note - I played FFXI for almost 2 years. I had 2 jobs leveled that needed a Monster Signa (fancy staff for Bards and Beastmasters). 6 months I camped the monster that dropped it and didn't get it once because there was constantly campers there running bots. Eventually it became apparent the only way I could obtain this item would be to either farm a low level area and ruin the game for someone lower level than I, or pay real money to get the gil I decided it was time to go.
There are a couple posts here about NRC Canada. What kind of influence you say? I'd say a hell of a lot since they give out loads of grants and loans every year. Much of the work I do for my employeer is funded via tax grants.
What I would like to see is OSS specific tax breaks for companies.
Maybe FFX and FFX-2. Lots of spoken dialog with captions. Actually any TV that can show CC without having mute on might be good to try. I really don't know what else to tell you. Maybe looking into some adult reading eductation programs in your local area to see if they have any tips.
I played FFXI for almost 2 years. When I started playing WoW I kept my FFXI account. After 3 months of not even logging into FFXI I decided to just sell everything off, give my gil to friends and cancel.
Personally I started to get mad at how Square-Enix made FFXI to sink time. 3+ hours to actually get started doing anything (yes I had a couple jobs into the mid 60s) just seemed wasteful after WoW.
I've been doing this for friends of friends for over a year now. I've got a USB drive that has an OSS virus scanner, Firefox, Spybot, Adware and ZoneAlarm on it. I clean things up install everything on the drive and leave with a 12 pack of beer in my hands. I haven't had to buy beer since and sometimes have a hard time fitting food into my fridge.
"last year a marketing firm conducted a survey where they asked people whether they thought Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Nintendo N5 sounded more 'next-gen'."
Also this marketing firm concluded the Xbox 360 name was, "So phat it was sick".
At least European users will get to see if Sony actually fixed any of the problems with the PSP since the JP launch.
Personally I plan on going to place my pre-order in the next week. Lost my PS2 when my apartment got broken into and I've wanted to pick up an mp3 player so I'm hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone. Hopefully it won't be killing them with a flying UMD!
Client Logic also has centres around the Maritimes (Atlantic Canada) in places like Moncton, Saint John, and I think Miramichi has one too.
RMH had one in Fredericton but I believe they layed off their 200+ staff and moved it to Asia. I think my friend who worked their said they were selling for AT&T as well.
The company I work for follows PIPEDA to the letter when dealing with customer and potential customer information and data. This is extended to American and European customers as a matter of respect. Most of PIPEDA is simple common sense respect for others privacy. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy:)
In Canada there are tons of different agencies which provide grants, loans, and tax breaks to companies wanting to expand. The logic behind this is it helps new business start, and existing business expand it will bring more money into Canada and create jobs.
Holy crap greechneb where the hell have you been!? In my oppinion if you haven't seen any of the movies I'd wait until 3 has come out then watch them all start to finish. The ep 1-3 will suck more and more, then 4-6 will seem that much better. It would be like eating your own crap for a month then sitting you down in front of the finest steak and potatoes the world has ever seen!

"They won't let me speak to a manager" - demand to speak to their manager. Keep calling and asking and don't let up.
Hey thats funny - you are dying too! So am I!
It's easier to be funny when you RTFA, but fear not! I'm sure someone who didn't even bother to read the /. post fully will laugh and mod you up.
I really wanted to see THUG listed :(

It's dead Jim.

Excellent the porn industry is on our side, there is no way we can lose now!

Hey can't they just kick start the core with a big nuke? I'm sure I saw that in a documentary or a movie.
I had quit but I'd start again if I got a free trip to Mars!

If you don't understand the wording of the subject you could have asked. Or better yet - actually read the comments

Oh no, my Grampy is going to shit bricks and go out on the war path when he sees this article posted!
I stick it to Microsoft by not buying their products.
