I think quite a few people would jump. How many times to you hear about people dropping their yahoo or hotmail accounts because they have too much spam (little do they relieze that changing accounts doesn't help).
I was with you until you started rambling about multiplayer. I don't believe that multiplayer needs to be in every game. Some games don't need them and this is one of them (another good example is Civ - dispite the fact they went ahead and did it anyway).
Some games are single player games and should stay that way. Some games are turn based and they work best this way.
These have been around since the 80's... The only difference is that now they can be lifted by a 'normal' man now that electronics have become so much smaller...
She'll never win, she won't have the cashflow. Even if she were, by some miricle to 'win', she'd probably be bankrupt. Its about as useless as me suing IBM or Microsoft 'just for fun'
Stupider than Lindows? I don't think so...
Its lucky that MS does spend so much money on marketing, otherwise we'd be hearing about Whistler (Windows 2000/XP) and Memphis (Windows 98) exploits and code leaks.
what a bunch of balony. Hire someone who can think of names, my dog could do better (which is saying a lot since I don't have a dog).
Myself, I'm always careful about 'stripping' any information when posting code samples or looking for help in Forums. I'm surprised this isn't reported more often...
I wonder if the parent company that hired this 'outsourcer', even knows that their data has been compromised...
I just hope they make a controller that a kid can hold this time. And a box with a flat top, so you can stack other units (VCR's, PS2's, etc), unlike that stupid dome they have at the moment.
The xbox was alright, but it really suffered from stupid visual and useability design decisions...
I've played SOCOM 1 (not two yet), and had great fun yelling into the microphone in an American accent (it didn't understand my Kiwi accent). My flatmates would come home to find me talking to myself
"Bravo attack at will"
"Bravo ATTACK at will"
"Damn it Bravo ATTACK AT WILL!!!"
Good fun though once I got the accent right...
I think this move has probably much less to do with the community and more to do with money. A lot of people have stopped paying there subscriptions altogether, especially since Knightsof the Old Republic for the PC was released...
I jsut think the army spends enough money fighting wars and thats what they should keep doing. Why are we paying for them to develop a computer game that they are not even trying to make a profit off?
This is an American company right? Explains a lot.
I understand Americans wanting to bear arms, freedom of speech, but nowhere do I see "Right to sue anyone, any time for any stupid reason"
Theres so many things wrong with this invention.
First you can't watch television during the day, not without lowing the blind, which defeats the purpose of the window all togeather, it might as well be on the wall so that natural light can come in.
Can you see the tv from the other side?... backwards? Does this mean people can see what you're watching?
Can you open the window once its there? You probably don't even want to touch it its so expensive.
and wait until the neighbour's kid hits a baseball through this one. It won't be a simple matter of finding $50, he'll need 50K!
I prefer my tv on the wall, not in the window.
The only good thing about this invention is that the screen is so thin... but is it? or is it just transparent...
It will probably be as exclusive as the last games... meaning they aren't ready to release the PC version yet, but maybe next year...
For example if I search for me (Sam Smith), I show up 4th on Google, but 51st on Yahoo.
I guess Yahoo really doesn't love me after all.
What the heck does Grey Tuesday have to do with this?
If there are restrictions on this, why can you still relatively easily buy a F-15 on Ebay?

I think a lot of people will jump over.

In some cities (such as San Francisco), the newspapers don't even advertise 'real' IT jobs anymore... so you don't even have any choice.
But I've personally never had any active luck with job boards, although I was headhunted through the boards by an Agengy to get my current job...

Daily operation? I think you mean Cash Flow.
I doubt that is money in the bank though, otherwise they would have paid off that measly 300 million years ago...
What happens to spaceman poop? Is it jetisoned as 'debris' too?
From the article:
"Yesterday, the crew observed another small piece of debris floating away from the ISS, apparently of Russian origin."

Now they will be slashdotted twice as bad, once for the first article, and then the 2nd time when people go to read the user comments.
:p

These are the two biggies for me...
Fortran is far from dead, look Fortran is even part of the .NET Framework...
I don't believe the "Xbox has a rounded top to prevent spills into its vents" bit though, otherwise computers and such would have the same design...
Thanks for the info on the controller, I didn't know that, I guess once I brought a PS2 I turned off a bit.
