True. Of course, using an Xbox 360 is a different story...

The band absolutely deserves every cent that EMI made selling their music. They might even deserve a bit extra.
Wasn't there recently a woman who shared a bunch of tunes on P2P and was fined in some dozen thousand dollars? This company should pay in the SAME proportion. That would be, what, enough to bankrupt the company?

  7. Application Enhancer is trouble on Leopard Upgraders Getting "Blue Screen of Death" · · Score: 2, Insightful

I had used Application Enhancer for a while, but Photoshop became very crash-prone; a friend reported Safari crashes after installing it. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

Also, rule of thumb: 100% clean installs are always the safe way to go. Back up your stuff, wipe the HD, then restore as needed.

  8. Absolute HATE for the controller on PlayStation 2 Celebrates Seven Years in the US · · Score: 1, Insightful

I can't understand how people play with that damn "dualshlock" thing at all.

    * Weird shape makes it uncomfortable to hold.
    * Analog sticks placed so that you have to stretch your thumbs.
    * Split d-pad makes it too hard to hit diagonals.
    * Geometric symbols rather than letters for the buttons.
    * 2 pairs of trigger buttons... fgsfds.

Other than the Nintendo DS, it is the only controller that ever made my hand cramp! I'm not just saying that other pads are better; as far as I'm concerned, without a third-party controller with a radically different shape (like this one ), the PS2 is pretty much unusable.

Correct, but also: because the original plan for Mac OS 8 -- that is, project Copland -- was a catastrophe.

Mac users: Why are you guys so quick to buy minor point releases (ie. bug fixes and a few little extras thrown in) of your OS rather than demand that they be freely available like Windows?
You think this is: Mac OS, version ten dot five. But it works more like: Mac OS Ten, version five.
