I think playing with your left hand and link holding sword with his right hand really won't be that strange. I honestly think you may not notice it most of the time or maybe at first then you'll forget about it.
I think Nintendo is just covering the 90% of the population making it never "stand out", and for you lefties, hold the controller in your left hand, and you'll have to have 10% inconvenience of it being a bit strange until you mentally block it out.
It's really not a whole lot different then everything else lefties have to go through in life. I'm not saying its right, but it really probably won't get any better.
You really have to realize that you are a minute minority, statistically insignificant to Nintendo versus the idea of mass re-selling of foreign games from bulk import/export re-selling.
Nintendo has to price differently in different countries unfortunately because each country has different standards of living. It really is very simple. Games in China will be much cheaper than in the USA.

Yeah, and the money they saved on being able to control profits in each region accordingly has heavily out-weighed you not buying one of their consoles.

Your forgetting one thing in your statement "Lets just use the higher bitrate one"... It seems that HD-DVD (2L@30gb) is cheaper to produce both the HD-DVD's (stamp them) and the players themselves then the BD (1L@25gb) is... Not even getting into Dual Layer Bluray.
How much cheaper? I read "A lot", but alas I dont know for sure and am too tired to look it up for you.

When I can't reach a 80% to 90% confidence level that I can give an accurate estimate I do something different.
I don't give an estimate how long it will take to develop said feature. Instead, I give an estimate as to how long it will take for me the give the accurate estimate.
So, for example, I will say, I need 3 days to write some test-code, do some reverse engineering, and try to get part of the feature in, and in that time I am 90% confident that I will be able to give an accurate estimate then how long it will take to fully develop the said feature.
It has always worked very well for me to upper-management, as long as you then come in with a good educated answer how long it will take you after your first estimate.
It's better than giving a blind non-educated answer the first time around.
