The best place to be when you're trying to put pressure on a company is at the shareholders meeting. If you own millions of dollars of stock that's even better.
Is this not in fact the Viral Campaign he talks about starting on his blog? Seems to be working, since he's on Slashdot already, plus all the links go to his site and none to the other (ostensibly undisclosed) address.
Grrr, I have them on VHS
on
Star Wars on DVD

Here's the old paying-for-stuff-twice shit. I have all these on VHS, and ideally, I should be able to send 'em in, with a nominal media/postage fee, and receive my DVD's. But that would mean less fat profit for George.
So I'll stay here fast forwarding through my crappy quality videotapes, whilst they degrade until I have an unwatchable mass of static, which won't be replaced, for the same reason, unless I want to pay again.
Here is progress - still I imagine many companies will leave things as they are just to avoid having to deal with irate calls to the helpdesk, and carry on broadcasting viruses to the world.
Collective defense is fine until it costs money.
Two points: 1: I really like to see this sorta thing from big companies, gives them a personal touch. That's why Google is so good - not afraid to be more personal and real.
Also, M$ must be sucking bandwidth streaming those videos to every slashprole.:) Every byte helps up their server bill (Anyone got any info on how much bandwidth microsoft/msdn.com uses? And what it's hosted on?)
To address a point: yes! Multiplayer should be better. I loved Descent 3, because one could play cooperative with a friend, but that requires two compys. Age of Empires is another good one - team against the computer, but again, ya need two computers.
Games should think of multiplayer in terms of co-op, as well as competetive play. I'd love to get a CONSOLE game where I could play through a storyline game with a friend (any suggestions?) and I only need one box.
I think the competetive factor appeals very much to the stereotypical teenage male, and the down-the-pub-mates, but not to anyone else.
Wow.. wow this is very cool... anyone remember, comparatively, the 64kb competition a while ago? For video+audio?
Any good tutorials out there for POVray? Don't say search on google, because that means 316,000 crap results and one or two good tutorials...
But... that means.. work.. I have to move the mouse:(
Right now I have a 200 hours cycling playlist of anime on my second monitor which means I only have to move to post on slashdot and eat... OK maybe not everything else but the 200 hour cycling anime? That's a fact:D
Oh, and.. um.. yes. Linux is different to windows (prays for Karma except I can't read the damn article without upgrading my browser DAMMIT)
:'( Yea I love the routemasters, great especially since I'm too lazy to walk down Oxford Street I can just jump on and jump off at the other end... they don't even ask for a ticket.
Oh yea, and when you're drunk you can just lean off for a well-timed purge...:$
Teach a man to phish and he'll never be hungry again!

I wish anybody on Slashdot could understand the free market :(
And they always said that home taping would kill the music industry...
Actually using my newly added inflation adjusted figures, episodes IV, V, and VI rightly take places 1, 3, and 2 respectively in the highest grossing Star Wars film rankings. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars#Box_office_ performance
I can't afford this, but http://cgi.ebay.com/Beautiful-Regency-TR-1-Transis tor-Radio-w-case-GRAY_W0QQitemZ6564339586QQcategor yZ932QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Now you just need to buy a pair of white headphones to go with it...
So, what happens when the fire department run in, and their radios don't work?
No they aren't... Not here.
Although it seems that 'at time of going to print' Google have removed all ads from a search for 'GEICO'. How nice of them :/
That's no moon! It's a space station!

Your sig is so funny that were you to post a troll I would still be forced to mod it funny.

My tinfoil hat protects me from the mind readers anyway!
Best...post...ever *wishes for mod points* Distributed Denial of Pizza... thats going into my IM ScreenName
Haha, yes, I concede. I spelled it 'M$' in a moment of idiocy.
If I could mod discussions I had posted in I'd mod ya up...
1.Works fine here in Firefox.
2.That quote refers to Bill Hill, not Gates.
3.And no, it doesn't. Update to a decent build.
If there's one thing people hate, it's when you solve their problems, eh.
That 'Bill Hill' guy is very charismatic...
