    the richest 1% have gotten far more from society so taxing them more is justified. if you don't own much then all you really need is enough law enforcemtn to prevent excessive violent crime, if you are a CEO of a major corporation you probably want to make sure your 100,000 car isn't stolen or vandalized, you wan to make sure your company isn't defrauded, your bank account needs to be protected from unauthorized transfers etc.

    I am aware of region codes, but they can be beaten by a 25 minute rip/burn cycle and are not really an issue since i am talking about taking movies you own with you when you go places, such as friends houses or camping or whatever.

    People like to have something tangable when they buy something. also DVD allows you to go pretty much anywhere with a DVD and a DVD player and watch your movies, online services would require you either recodr your files onto some kind of removable storage or have a haigh bandwidth connection anywhere you want to watch movies.

    not NOW they don't but with cell like archetecture and quantum cryptography it may be normal within 10 years for 2048 bit crypto to be used for the weakest stuff.

    The advantage is meant to be that keys can be a lot smaller for an equivalent level of security.

    more importantly keys of the same length are even more secure

    actually IBM required there be more than one source for all their parts, so in order for intel chips to be used in the IBM PC they had to license the tech to AMD.

    it's similar to a leatherman but the handle hinges fold perpendicular to the pliers hinge rather than parallel to the pliers, so if the pliers get stuck on something it is easier to pull them open rather than have the handle start to fold.

    this design also puts the handle-folding tools on the inside of the handle when opened as pliers so they are more comfortable to use when squeezing the pliers.

    They are running UNIX on the back end with familiar Windows machines for the POS machines.
    I always choose windows when i need a POS machine.
