I would have to agree with the parent on this one, sure Mac users are traditionally arty types, BUT they are arty types with CAD level experience, maybe 3D rendering, or some other heavy duty graphic experience. If they can master the intricacies of such programs they can easily come to terms with the OS as well!

I have never used miniatures in D&D or any other RPG I have played and also do not know of anyone (outside of the film E.T.!) who uses them. They may be handy if all you are going to do is dungeon crawl but for more sophisticated RPGing there is just no point. It is a ROLE playing game not a BATTLE game, there is more to D&D than hack and slash

Next fill the large sausage cases, see: Sausage Making Basics for advice on doing so.
Place into an ovenproof dish with a cover, standing in a larger dish half filled with water.

you mean THE Argument. I do not blame games or guns, my argument is purely with the state of American society today, caused mostly (I realise that more than one source is to blame) by the overly fear-mongering press/television.

Hear Hear, Canada has got stacks of guns, and yet the per annum death rate due to gun crimes is one of the lowest in the world! In fact a lot of other countries all have lots of people with lots of guns, some have more guns per capita than the USA and yet the USA has by far and way the greatest number of gun crime deaths than any other country in the world.

    the reason????
the US media! never in my life have I ever seen a country fed so much FUD bullshit ever, period! You can't walk down the street without some 'news at 11' report saying 'watch out they are our to get you' - They of course being terrorists/anarchists/democrats/republicans/gang bangers/girl scouts/small fluffy birds - you get my drift.

The sooner the media stops whipping everyone up into a fear for your life frenzy the better the country will be. (IMHO of course)

My first answer would be wait until 'Tiger' comes out, that way you will more than likely get Panther installed on the box and Tiger on CDs. At least that is what happened when I bought my Imac last year (cept of course it was Jaguar-Panther). I got two Oses for the price of one. Bargain.
on the flip side of that, you may as well upgrade now as every day on windows is a day when your PC can crash and die and get infected with malware etc etc. (Bit dramatic I know, but hey that is what too much time spent on billyware does to you!)

If the box is in your bedroom then quiet is certaibnly a good point as no doubt it will be on 24/7 either searching for ET or folding or rendering or whatever. Plus it is the perfect size for a media centre another plus point and if you want to get ubergeeky it is the perfect size to make a damn big cluster without needing an airplane hangar to house all the nodes in. I would say it is important that they look AND act how they should when acted out on film, but also do something new that the comics have not done.
IMHO the X-men movies have done exactly that, they have shown the usual heroes we all know and love but in a different way. e.g. it is nice to see Rogue before she absorbs Ms. Marvel's powers i.e. to delve into her real mutant ability rather than just being a strong flyer who is also pretty invulnerable. To my mind, this would not have been as good if she was a Canadian accented oriental dwarf (not that there is anything wrong with such a person - but that person is not ROGUE).
I appreciate I am not really adding anything new from what I said before except I do stick with the comics, but I would also like to see new ways of portaying the comic characters without destroying the originals.

I think you have an excellent point and it should only be taken partly as a joke as it is a serious point put across using sarcasm. (one of my favorute forms of communication btw!)
it is not a case of being PC or not. In the comics the kingpin is not black, he is white (actually I think he is a quarter asian - someone with a better memory can correct me on that)
Catwoman is also white not black, thank you Ms. Berry.
Is it wrong that I want comic characters to be played by people who ACTUALLY look like the characters they are portraying? Particuarly as these characters are from a visual medium and so there is plenty of references on how they should look.
