I work for Honeywell as well. Well, until tomorrow. I'm going to work for a competitor.;)
I wondered why Honeywell just had "IP Training" explaining to find anything we could possibly patent. They also mentioned that there was going to be a very large lawsuit in the near future. Bastards.
Look, I don't use MACs but I respect that people like them. So can't all us smelly Linux geeks have a big group hug with all the MAC people in their Nautica gear , united in the knowledge that neither of our groups finance the great demon in Redmond.
I don't wear Nautica you insensitive clod... I prefer Ralph Lauren! Jeesh.
XP is not typically flaky... You most likley have a hardware issue.
Step 1: Check your memory... I'd recommend Memtest86. You can dl for free at: http://www.memtest86.com/
Step 2: You're overclocked too much. Dial it back. Take small steps for overclocking. Also evaluate if you need to overclock. You'd be surprised at how little overclocking buys you (games rely heavily on the video card, not the processor).
Step 3: Make sure you have all the latestest chipset drivers installed.
Step 4: Make sure you haven't changed any settings in BIOS that may cause a problem. I set my AGP Apertature size to 512M one time... Totally made my system unstable.
Step 5: Ok... Maybe it is spyware or a virus. I highly doubt it though.
Step 6: You're screwed. Time to build a new system. Switch to Linux. Buy a Mac. I don't know, but you're system is possessed.
My computer which is two years old has no problems with Far Cry, UT 2004 (at high settings) or Doom 3 when it comes along.
High settings with Far Cry with a 9700 or a 9500? Yeah right. What cha running it at 640x480? I don't even run my P4 2.4 Ghz 1GB ram and 9800 pro 128 at full settings. (1280x1024)
Sounds about right for an AMD. Had the same problem with an XP 1800+. Fixed it by purchasing a P4 2.4 and new MB. For some reason, I've always experienced higer temps with AMD. AMDs fry in the lower to mid 90 degree C range. Intel slows the processor speed at around 75 degrees C. I'm not sure if it's possible to fry an P4.
Yeah... interesting point... SP2 didn't recognize AVG. It mentioned products such as NAV and Mcafee... I figure most of the SP2 "features" will be shutoff for most advanced users. Including the new and improved "firewall". Yes, I mean't to use quotes...;-p
Alain, I couldn't agree with you more. Stargate SG-1 is a masterpiece. The plot is consistent and well written. It amazes me how many different stories they can come up with.
Oh yeah... Absolutely no terroist activity was going on while Clinton was in office. Let's see. Oh yeah, Osama's henchmen just bombed the WTC, attacked the USS Cole, bombed U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, etc. Need I go on? Sure, they were not the magatude that 911 saw.
Clinton's response to these attacks? Cruise missles... Civil court... Oh scarey!
Don't even get me started on the rest. Clinton BROKE THE LAW when he was President. If your confused, he commited perjurory in a court of law.
Last I checked, there are Muslims living in the United States! Yup! In fact I work with several Muslims. Do I care? No! To each their own!
Bush linked with Osama! Please! Osama and his cronies only want to make life miserable for everyone. They rule by fear and oppression. Funny, same MO for Saddam. Bush as opposed to Clinton decided to do what should have been done years ago. The real issue is that terrorists are being disrupted and are now having difficulty operating. We witnessed eight years of diplomacy that failed. Bush merely took a more productive approach. The results ARE paying off. Libia is a great example.
Sounds like you are the one blinded by liberal media and bias. We DIDN'T give the "bird" to the rest of the world. Per Bush's State of the Union address, we had many countries involved in the effort. The French, Germans, and Russian's, etc were not interested because they had financial interests in keeping Saddam in power. Of course, now that Saddam is gone, the pre-mentioned groups want a piece of the rebuilding contract.
One final point. Although the French opposed the invasion of Iraq, they still seem to be a target for terrorist activity. Apparently, only the miserable will live free from terror.
Why don't we stop declaring war on other countries and start working on our own problems? How about a 'war on homeless', or a 'war on undereducation', or even a 'war against cancer'? Why the fsck do we have to fight a propped-up 'war on terrorism' when we could just as easily...I dunno...start paying back that huge national debt that we owe to a bunch of other countries?
Yes, I'm sure those killed on 911 and their family's would agree that a war on terror is not important. Come on people! Is it so easy to forget 2001? Under education and homeless people are NOT the problem of the federal government. National defense IS!
The real problem is the cops don't give a damn in New Mexico. The cops are there only to clean up the mess once a citizen caps a few people. Nothing more.
Buy a Mac.
Now, how about those 50 karma points.
Great, can I have my job back now?

Haha... I pay $40 and get 518Kbps! Sorry... I had to. It's been a long week.
Bah... my cable modem is faster than 3 T1s... You're behind.
Nice... Thanks for the link to the most freakin wacko newspaper in Phoenix. How about a fairly neutral link..

Ok... first off. The paper seemed to fail to mention the armed robbery the guy was wanted for.
Second, the Phoenix fire department determined that a candle started the fire, not the tear gas.
Informative, please!
I can't agree more. I just dl'd the file from MS at 518 KB/sec (Cox cable modem). I can't understand why anyone would use BitTorrent. Oh well.

Since it's just a shell... Doesn't that mean it has all the security problems IE does?

Rich or not... Wouldn't you be pissed to pay 91% tax? Geesh.

Duh... thanks Captain Obvious. That was the point. God's want = can.
It depends if he wants to.
Ummm... I think they mean Phoenix.... Other than than that... Arizona sucks for tech.
Obviously you never have been to Phoenix. Sure, it's 115 degrees in the summer... But the grass is greener and better watered than anywhere!
Don't forget Crusader (SPH - Self Propelled Howlizer and RSV - Resupply Vehicle).

The 911 plot started far before Bush was president. Those involved were taking piloting lessons and were operating unapposed for those 8 years.
8 years of relative peace and prosperity is subjective. Clinton was too busy worried about his penis.
