for this guy and not for the better as he expected.
A quick search on LAFONT CIBA VISIONS (they contacts first mentioned in the story) now show 11 results on the first page, of those SIX are either this story or re-posts of the story on other websites.
The other 5 results appear to be for things like BizRate and for legit CIBAVISIONS outlets.
Clicking through page 2, 3 etc there is at least ONE site showing a discussion about the NY Time article but DecorEyes does not show up.
maybe I am not using the correct keywords or this guy has some other websites he controls?
There was something unsettling about watching this guy lecture the students about the cheating and I could not figure out what it was but you just nailed it for me. Thank you.
while I agree with your comment that they want to regulate away the competition that they have no control over, it is just not that easy to "put up extra towers".
I have terrible service in my home and there is nowhere they can stick up another tower in my residential neighborhood.
I would let them stick a tower in my backyard but the neighbors won't allow it.
They all want great reception but they don't want the towers anywhere near their homes.
The only solution I can think of is to use existing above ground Utility poles for micro-cells or something.
Or buy a Femtocell (which is what I did and it pretty much solved all my problems). What incentive do they have to put up micro-cells on Utility poles when people like me will actually buy femtocells? I'm not sitting around waiting for them to increase coverage "someday". I need coverage NOW. $150? fine, done.
here is some love. mod parent up!
Hour and a Half with hundreds and hundreds of people.
watching the "making of" extra on the DVD is great. The steadicam operator almost collapsed during the final ballroom dance scene because he had "hit the wall" and was concerned that if he continued on he would become physically disabled and never work again.
Of course if he had dropped the camera during that scene he would probably never work again for different reasons...
I would guess that they would indeed cost $150 each. Or more.
Given the option to buy a massive stack of books and lug them around as usual or paying the same amount of money and having them all available on an iPad...what would you opt for?
I know that most all my Biology and Anatomy books already have online supplements that are basically the entire book online with animated sections (flash of course).
Many of my fellow students would use their security code (good for one semester) to access the online material. If you bought a used book with an online security code that does not work, the publisher will sell you a new one for around $30 for the semester.
A discussion about the iPad came up one day and I brought in my wife's iPad to show people. Pretty much everyone agreed they would fork over the money to not have to lug around heavy textbooks. The subject of resale was brought up and most people never even thought about resale until they were DONE with their studies and the books were outdated anyways so they got practically nothing. *I* resell my books ASAP but most everyone else I have encountered does not seem to do that so it is not factored into their budget. The only thing factored in is "I have to pay $7000 for books".
crap, you're right. something changed between the time I posted than and now. I originally found that on MacRumors and the image showed more than just AT&T phones. pulling up the page on my own CR account it shows a breakdown of smartphones on AT&T, SPRINT, T-MOBILE and VERIZON and the iPhone 4 still ranks at "76", higher than any of them
ironically, CR still rates it HIGHER than any other smart phone for the US market! actual report is behind a CR paywall, link goes to blog post that shows a screen shot of the report...
the speed of those 2 shafts is what controls both the output speed of the device and direction of rotation.
The control over speed and direction is independent of the power input.
How did you think that was manipulated? Mind Control?
My 3 Grandkids are always playing App Store games on our iPhones and iPod Touches when we travel.
They play against each other too. And if there are only 2 devices they will actually "share" (!)
They don't "watch" anything. (movies)
that figure includes those that WorstBuy bought and has sitting on their shelves. Are they sold to end losers yet?
look on Craigslist or eBay to see all the "end losers" that bought them thinking they could flip them.
I wonder what percentage of sales were made up by those?
ah thank you, I figured I had done something wrong.

If I recall, the only Computer enhancements were to the exposure and colors in a few scenes during post production.

is actually a big "feature" for some corporate environments where NO cameras are allowed.

MUCH more informative than the original linked article plus more pics!

I cannot recall ever getting anything from AMAZON via USPS, it is always UPS.
what do they ship via USPS?
for me as I don't get a good 3G signal at my house!
Go AT&T!
Is there a followup report on the environmental damage from this? What happened to all the oil that flowed for 9 months?

*snort* that took me a moment to figure it out. where are my mod points?
why does everyone assume that the only application for this is on an automobile?

I thought it was a better term. or maybe Consumption Computing?
