You need the exact same hardware that has been described a million times already in this thread. As for the software, it's the emulators that Nintendo coded for bonus discs, like the N64 emulator for Ocarina of Time (and maybe the NES emulator from Animal Crossing, I don't know). They were ripped awhile ago, and I saw them floating around Bittorrent sites.
I would disagree, Turok 2 was actually pretty fun on multiplayer. I'm not saying it's great, but it was more enjoyable than a lot of games I've rented.
Also, VLC on OS X has improved a lot. With version 0.7, it finally has a decent interface on OS X; the previous versions had interfaces slightly better than MPlayerOSX, but not by much. I'd say it's only second to QuickTime Player in interface (sometimes) and speed (on older hardware); it plays so many more formats than QT does.
Alternate translation: "After noticing that I screwed over not only fans of Bungie, but also fans of Rare, Satan himself offered me a better-paying job."
Somehow I get the impression (after reading through the rest of your posts) that you'd start complaining about how you can't play Nintendo games well without buying their controller. In any case, the GC is only $100, a fraction of the price of your computer; so why should Nintendo waste time trying to cater to people who will buy an expensive PC but not a cheap Gamecube?
Yeah, Telus is pretty good. Their customer support is abysmal, but they also neglect massive bandwidth use. I, um, have a friend who has Bittorrent open all month long, and he hasn't ever recieved a complaint from Telus.
But in any case, it's a waste of your money and mine - with that kind of money you could get a new nuclear sub, a B2 bomber, AND an aircraft carrier (sans aircraft)!
And this gets modded up? I don't know about you, but I'd rather pay for a massive improvement to transportation in my area than a few massive vehicles designed for killing.
The animation? As far as I know, Pirates was only a ride before it was turned into a feature.. anyways, by predictable and standard, I mean that it was simply a Disney adventure movie at heart. I can think of a lot of beloved movies that aren't by any means thought provoking (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc) but are immensely entertaining anyways, and Pirates was one of them for me.
Yes, it was totally predictable, and standard.. but even so, it was awesome. If this is an indication of what Disney might make more of in the future, than I'm glad.
"No, I'm serious," Chuck deadpans. They [20th Century Fox] just sold the rights to the Fight Club video game."
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, I'm serious. And ask me if I care."
"It's all assimilated. Everything," Chuck quietly jabs. "Those things demonstrate nihilism. It demonstrates that everything becomes a commodity, that everything is trivialized and destroyed."
"But that's so raw," I say, confused.
Almost playfully, Chuck smiles and says, "No, it's not, because it makes room for more stuff, more cutting-edge visions."
What type of media a game is recorded on is a product of the publisher. Black Isle had a history of making DVD versions of bioware games, however they had a fallout.
Okay, okay.. I only skimmed the linked article, but I'm wondering how the iQue supports multiplayer games. I didn't see any mention of controller ports on the controller (well, the system) in the article.
Christ. If your little cousins are going to be devastated because of the loss of berries in a Pokemon game, they have bigger problems than that. Even if they are devastated, they'll probably just be able to send their carts in. Get over it.
I'm not sure... all the places I've been to that sell them in Canada usually have a unit on display. I suppose it all depends on whether the store has a lock-down display for an iPod.

Nothing is more satisfying than blowing up Nazi zombies in any of the Metal Slug games.

Isn't NTSC 60fps and PAL 50fps?

Here's a quarter, buy a new caps lock key with it.

Kick-ass? I'm nowhere near being an audiophile, and I think they sound like crap...
Wouldn't the different processor make running DC binaries... impossible? I could be wrong on that, I don't know exactly what the DC's processor is.

I wonder if a more efficient specialty hard drive couldn't be designed for embedded applications.
So.. what do you think the tiny hard drive in the iPod is?
Hold on. Surely you must have meant "movies" instead of "movie".
In the book, the real target was a museum, not the credit card companies.

Yeah, my cheapo AD-1500 doesn't do it.

Was that intentional?

Am I the only one thinking that the Xbox might have been turned off?
Apparently the NetYaroze was quite crippled compared to the professional PS1 development tools..
