um, you appear to be contradicting yourself.. or maybe I didn't hear the woooosh over my head. Either way, I agree with what you said, "The child rapists will rape kids, money or no."
So you think child rapists will stop molesting children if they're not getting paid?
There is no business model here. These people rape children because they're sick fucks. Not being able to sell a picture isn't going to change them. Thus taking away "demand" isn't going to do to anything. Nothing at all.
Personally I don't. I had Comcast and when I noticed they were doing this a couple of months ago I canceled.
I assume they weren't doing this everywhere till now but at the time the trigger activated after only a minute or two. So I would get great burst rates but if I wanted to transfer anything large my bandwidth was reduced to depressing speeds. I work with video and need the bandwidth I'm paying for. I will never subscribe to Comcast again.
Maybe, just maybe tomtom etc won't be selling as much hardware. But they currently and I'm sure will continue making software for various devices. I use TomTom on a PDA. It sits on an SD Card with the entire US map data. As someone else replied, TomTom can also be installed on cell phones and other things. I assure you, when I'm riding my motorcycle in the middle of the desert (not unusual for me); I won't have any use for a cell based solution or an in-dash car device.
People like me will keep that market alive. As will our boys overseas, pilots, sailors etc..
Besides the whole "GPS will be in every car" idea is just plan bunk. Especially in the current economy. Cars are still made without power windows. GPS is a nice option for someone that wants it. Many people do not want that option and will not pay extra for it. Car manufactures are not going to install GPS in every car when they can barely sell cars at all. That is a fantasy based on nonsense.
People who drive cars are far from the only market for GPS devices. Many people have motorcycles, planes, hang gliders, boats etc.. people hike, ski, hunt, sale, dive, canoe...... the list is endless.
There will always be handheld GPS devices that can be mounted to a pole or stuffed in a pocket. And as long as those exist people will want to use that same device (on their dash) when they drive.
So your saying, "there's bad roads and traffic in the city"? That applies to any state.
I've lived in multiple parts of both SoCal and NorCal. I've visited every major city in the state more then once. I assure you, CA could do far worse with the roads.
The subject and the summery are completely misleading. If you RTFA is says that two different audio codecs are being compared. Not just bitrates. This is apples and oranges.
The other states won't have to. TV manufactures will all comply so that they can sell in CA. So this will end up effecting all states, regulated or not. It's like this with many things.
"Nissan deems that at 12 mph the tires are loud enough to turn the sound off."
If that's the case I'm all for it. Most traffic travels plenty faster then that so if the sound is only on when the car is going slow I think it's a win/win.
'Chief among this year's actions were five separate law enforcement raids against game pirates in California, resulting in the seizure of several thousand games and dozens of modded consoles, and the arrests of five individuals.'
I feel so much safer now knowing the streets are clean of those terrible video games.
Then it sounds like you bought the wrong system. Most of the people enjoying the Wii aren't exactly slashdot readers. So you don't hear about them but I assure you there are people that exist who love their Wii. Even my Mom enjoys the console.
And I agree with the poster above. MotionPlus has added a great deal of possibilities to the Wii. Even the launch titles have made excellent use of it and I'm sure there's more to come.
Foxit Reader has my vote as well. About a month ago I got fed up with Adobe Reader and tried several other PDF readers. FoxIt Reader was the best of the bunch at the time. It's faster, uses less memory and doesn't annoy me.
Not to mention, iPhone/iPod Touch are not that hard to develop for. Apparently the API's DO allow them to do what they need, so I'm not sure what your argument is there. The apps have been made, they're in the field already, in use. Your talking like this is a new idea and the future of it is uncertain. The future is Now.
btw, this is coming from someone who's never owned anything from Apple and who uses a Windows Mobile PDA regularly.
I'm the same way with lyrics. Especially rap (which I enjoy otherwise). I'll get caught up in the words and be unable to code. Jazz, trance, new age, anything mellow like that and I'm a happy coder.
Oddly enough, I also do art (game dev) and my musical needs are completely opposite. It's like my left brain will get board and need something to feed on. That's when I listen to rap or other lyrical music. If not that, it'll be talk radio.

Same here.
Yet I can go on Google Image Search and download copyrighted images which they are hosting.

I'm not sure if it's relevant but at the end of the scene the "player" appears to be double crossed by the terrorist group.
The game has an MA rating. The target audience has already "grown up" (by legal definition).

I'm guessing your in the LA area.
The roads and traffic in the rest of the state are not bad at all.
The subject and the summery are completely misleading.

At the very end of the video they show a keyboard positioned over the touchpad. So I don't think they're trying to eliminate the keyboard entirely.
Still you've got many valid points. The mouse is still a much needed tool for many tasks.
...or just buy a PC.

This always drove me insane as well. Although that page lists even more then I had even thought about before.
Why was this modded Flamebait? Don't mod down just because you disagree.
Someone mod parent up!

Try operating Windows Mobile with gloves on..

I agree with both of you.
There shouldn't be such lists, but at long as they exists, I think an act like this applies.
There's no excuse for stripping a little girl.
