Apple might be planning an AirPort Express 2 with a TV Tuner, then they could make another iLife App and you could broadcast TV to all your computers wirelessly.
When Jobs last demoed it in June, it successfully searched the metadata of everything from QuickTime movies to PDF's.
This will give you a much better idea of how it works.
The site really doesn't do it justice. It can do what you're describing... though doing a search for "films starring Tom Hanks" would make more sense if it were just "Tom Hanks" and then it would show you everything with "Tom Hanks" in it, organized into file-type or other categories.
The russian continued to warn that "anyone who does not want their webserver annihilated tomorrow should accordingly shut down said server or disconnect it from the net..."
AI will definitely cause many issues in the future... but something else ive noticed companies building into everything where they're applicable are genetic algorithms.
What will happen if AI is someday blended with genetic algorithms?
I know that somehow the controls on my 2000 Passat's steering wheel are capable of controlling the nonexistent CD-changer in my trunk.
I have an extra iPod wire remote, is there any way that I can somehow hack these pieces of equipment to integrate my ipod with my car's stereo without paying hundreds of dollars?
If im reading the block diagram correctly, it has only one 400Mhz memory bus, yet the chips must be installed in pairs (symmetrically with the top and bottom groups of 4 slots), something I still do not understand fully. This is described here.
So I assume I should go with whatever is cheaper and works with my expansion plan. In that case, the four 512MB PC3200 chips.
Thanks for the input everyone, I appreciate the insight.
Hmmm... I wonder... would the two dissipate the same amount of heat?
A few years back before broadband was available in my area, I was sitting in my kitchen surfing the web on my laptop.
Due to the fact that i was on dial-up, there was a phone cable stretched across from the table to the wall.
Heh.
So, about 2 hours into surfing, my dog (who was sitting on the chair next to me at the time) sees a small girl walk by our driveway. This excites him so much, that he bounds over me... right THROUGH the modem cable, pulling my laptop off the table onto the tile floor.
Picking it up, I see that everything is fine, except for about 80% of the screen. I brought it in to TekServ in NYC, and they told me Apple would designate it as "abuse."
I eventually replaced the screen and still use the same Powerbook today, but it was still a very traumatic experience.
It might be propoganda, but it was and is still true.
Compare CineBench benchmarks of an array of top of the line PC chips and a G5 2.5MP, each with the Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra
Even with their extra 1GHz, the G5 still beats them by more then 200 points, and CineBench 2003 1.0 isn't even optimized for the G5! Especially now, when comparing 32-bit chips to 64/32-bit chips, you cannot compare machines simply on their clockspeed. Even intel has come to this fact, giving their chips numbers based on their power instead of their clockspeed.
Yes, I agree, Apple Powerbooks DO last a very long time, right now I am on my Pismo (Powerbook G3) from spring 2000. Since I bought it, its grown from a 400MHz G3 / 128 MB RAM / 12 GB HD to a 500MHz G4 / 1GB of RAM / 80 GB HD, and it still holds 10 hours of charge with dual batteries.
Right now I'm running OS X 10.3.3, and it HAS been getting faster with every update.
hahaha
yea I read that when I was looking to see if this had been posted, its like the Doom3 of web languages.
lets just hope Zend can pull it together this time.
If you're viewing pictures of naked women with a postage-stamp screen i doubt its the action of watching thats making you go blind.
Hah! If only our economy was doing that well!
I wish I could use my points to mod this up. When Bush said that I seriously cracked up.
It's interesting that Bush tonight stated that calling the new Iraqi Prime Minister a "puppet" is preposterous.
But Kerry didn't call him a puppet in the debate.. Bush broght it up. Bush's subcouncious seems to have gotten in his way a few times tonight.
You mean Gurisdiction, right?
i and eEverything have already been done... now all we need is a line of GThis and GThat to go along with out XGadget and Widget Pro...

Yeah, exactly like Spotlight.

This would be in a Dual 2.5Ghz G5.

Anyone know if 4 512MB PC3200 DDR 400 chips is faster/slower than 2 1GB PC3200 DDR 400 chips?
I don't know how many of you saw that commercial a while back, but Sony's plans for the PS9 look pretty impressive...
I guess those of us who do not know how to make our own binaries just have to wait for Marc Liyanage to port this thing.
thanks Marc.
I cant wait to play with the final XML/DOM-3 libs.
