All science is to some extend bassed on layers of theory, however each new theory, if correctly done, explains all the known facts but often includes elements of predictions along the lines of "If this theory is correct we will expect to see X".

Now we can go looking for X and if we find it and the prediction was somewhat unexpected before the theory was proposed it is a strong indication of its validity.

Case in points Einsteins prediction of light being bend by high gravity object that was indeed confirmed.

Same here if we do find a a lot of different Dinosaurs in the same narrow strada around the world it make the theory more likely.

As did Microsoft. MS stole a word from the commons and benefitted from this. You benefit in the beginning as your product is selfdescriptive, later on you pay a price since you can't protect it.

Take your oick and live with it. MS did but refuses to live with their decision. They deserves to lose and they will lose. If Lindows for some obscure reasons looses they will win an appeal and the case will be remanded. Windows as a MS trademark is Doomed (tm?)

If you are quick or have a news seerver with longer retention you can catch the History of China Yao to Mao 5000 years or and excellent lecture series about Ancient Egypt.

Look in this newsgroup and you will find a lot of excellent stuff. I think the TTC actually benefits from this as often people posts that they have bought different series following a few weeks of listening to what is being posted.

As an example he spend 3 chapters talking about St. Augustin of Hippo juxtaposed to St. Patrick. What came out of it could be summarized in a few paragraphs.

St. Patrick became the first missionary following St. Paul and had little formal education.

Well educated St. Augustin stayed at home in Hippo and conjured up the City of God based on Allaric's sacking of Rome in 410.

SCO has advised the court that it has provided complete and detailed responses to the Court's orders. If that is true, then summary judgement is appropriate because SCO has no evidence of IBM's alledged infringement (as SCO has adduced none). If it is not true, then summary judgement is appropriate because SCO has not only defied two orders of the Court, but it has also falsely certified that it has provided complete, detailed and thorough answers to IBM's interrogatories and the Court's orders. Either way, the Court should forthwith enter summary judgment in favor of IBM.
