With games there is at least a small cost for the goods. They come on a disc or a cartridge and in a case, with a manual, and so forth. At iTunes the cost of goods sold is *zero*. The record company's gross margin on an iTunes sale is 100%.
It surprises me that the traffic in these terratories is only 1TB, I have friends that go through more than that in a week of file sharing.
Why are you comparing your "friends" who purportedly share 1TB[sic] of data a week with the London Internet Exchange who monitors about 79272345600MB (604800Tb - 1Tb/s) of data a week? The article also clearly stated that local traffic is most likely equal to international traffic, but not monitored by LINX.
Last time I checked the term files weren't to the exclusion of media files.
I live in Canada, because every time I step out the door there's a chance I'll see titties. That's right, it never happens, but it could. Women are free to go without a top. Canadians have alot more freedoms like that too.... If it weren't for topless freedom I don't think I'd even go outside. There's always a chance...
To take something from someone is to deprive another. There's no copyright infringement in viewing a piece of artwork. And it doesn't matter if you payed the gate fee or not!
Nor is there theft.
High quality compared to what? On windows everyone and their mom has a shareware mp3 ripper to hawk to you. Or you could use k3b and not have to worry about grayed out features.
There are a lot more eyes watching some open source projects than those made by development studios. Deadlines imposed by the same studios only add to incomplete features. Microsoft's haggard roadmap to Longhorn, scorn with dropped features is a good example.
Oh yea man, I've heard of this heat thing.
As soon as I got home today, I ripped that AMD shit right out of the socket! Then I took out my brand new IBM 750FX and tried to install it.
Turns out it doesn't even support socket 939! What kinda shit technology... It'll never catch on.
With Ad-Aware 6 SE Plus and Professional, there is an application called Ad-watch. It provides realtime protection from registry changes, browser hijacks and blocks suspicious processes.
Edison was a nuts. If he wasn't so busy electrocuting elephants with AC he might have gotten away with that "distributed generation" shiite. ;)
Artic sovernty has always been a big deal for Canada. We had better start finding some new submarines.
Are you saying bandwidth is free?

Hey, you got girlfriend Vietnam? Me so horny. Me love you long time.
Topsy was electrocuted by AC, troll!
Woooosh...
Yea, yea. So you work at Microsoft. We don't want to hear about it anymore!
What is this girlfriend you speak of? And how much can I get one for?

Bastards!
The "Internet age" you're thinking of happened in 1997 along with Windows 98... That's where the noobs came from.
