From this thread This goes at least as far back as 1982 and is under a BSD license. Nothing to worry about here. subr_rmap.c [pdp11.org.ru] 1.2 (2.11BSD GTE) 12/24/92
There seems to be nothing of value here. As pointed out by Starborn this comment goes at least as far back as BSD 2.11, which, according to the file, is from
subr_rmap.c 1.2 (2.11BSD GTE) 12/24/92

The linux version is slightly modified with some differing variable names, but the algorithim seems to be nearly identical.
Basicly, the code they've showed goes as far back as 1992 from BSD 2.11, perhaps even further?
Thomas C. Carey, a partner at of the Boston IP and business law firm Bromberg & Sunstein and chairman of the firm's Business Practice Group, thinks Red Hat has a very good case. "Assuming for the moment that SCO is off-base in its allegations, this complaint is enough to rock SCO to its foundations." Still, "A lot will depend upon the vigor with which the matter is pursued. My presumption is that the suit is serious and will be pursued with full force."
But Carey warns, "SCO is in some danger even if its allegations are correct, simply because SCO has put everyone in an impossible position. What can they (a Linux distributor or end-user) do if they don't know which code is infringing? If, to that unfairness, you add a conclusion that SCO has its facts wrong, then SCO's liability to Red Hat and others could be very substantial. And if SCO knows (or should know) that its facts are wrong, then you can kiss the company good-bye."
Last, but far from least, Carey thinks that there's "a potential securities fraud action is buried within the pleadings. Red Hat speaks of Canopy Group (SCO's primary owner) having raked in millions in cash since the start of this affair. Red Hat notes that its own stock price has declined 20% in a month. This is the stuff of securities lawsuits. Red Hat could amend its claims to include a securities law claim, or another law firm could bring a class action lawsuit against SCO on behalf of selling Red Hat shareholders who have been harmed by the low price they get. Finally, it is conceivable that the SEC or the Justice Department could take an interest in this, viewing it as market manipulation."

He states that the comments don't get compiled into the binary, thus SCO can add comments from and still produce binaries with the same md5 signature as their offical release.
If they added code rather then comments, the md5 signature would be different.

After reading his story, and this story of another gentoo developer who left because of drobbins, I'm starting to think what is said about him is true after all.
"There was however one outstanding issue. We were afraid of Daniel Robbins' tendency to monopolise and his habit of vetoing to enforce his opinion."

Edit the file defaults/pref/unix.js at about line 230.
Change pref("font.FreeType2.enable", false); to pref("font.FreeType2.enable", true);
And there you go!.
You probably should also tinker with font.antialias.min, font.scale.tt_bitmap.dark_text.min and font.scale.tt_bitmap.dark_text.gain until the fonts look good to you.
In my expereince, isa cards are very slow at 16bit. Droping it down to 256 helps, but things dont look as nice as they should. I have an old 486sx/33 and the graphics preformance of X was just about the same as windows. So I suspect XFree isn't to blame here, crappy hardware is.
I haven't seen anybody mention it, so I guess I'll mention it here. There is a neat web browser called BrowseX which uses tcl/tk and a c html renderer. It supports images, https, frames and seems to render most pages correctly, even slashdot:) Check it out here
First off I'll admit that I don't know much about the subject, but readling speculations like this I'm left to wonder how much evidance exists (if any) that there is no life Europa? I'm left to wonder whether researchers are turning every new scientific find into evidence that there is life, rather then asking themselves if this can prove that there isn't life. Just my two cents.
According to their site, it's not showing today but I found this date.
8PM - April 6th on PBS Code Rush "Code Rush" takes a dramatic, inside look at living and working in Silicon Valley. The one-hour documentary follows bright and quirky Netscape Communications engineers as they pursue a revolutionary venture to save their company from an impending corporate take-over. Through the program's verite style viewers see human and technological dramas unfold in the collision between science, engineering, code and commerce.
What I am saying is that Microsoft is in no position to call for standards when they have so many of their own formats, and they like aol, change them whenever they see a threat. I agree that aol is in the wrong here, but Microsoft is pointing fingers at aol for the same thing it does.
Something to help people gain weight.

Of the two projects that seem to be focused on the router end of things, Basic Linux and Gibralter, both links are 404'ed. Looks like they are dead.
I always thought this would be a good idea. You'd be able to use things like samba with the extra disk space that a cdrom provides.

is quite amusing.
All OS's, like vietnamese hookers suck, Linux just sucks less.
