I coded up a web-based IDE two years ago for my senior project at California State University Fresno and presented it to a group of entrepreneurs at the Central Valley Business Incubator. It was a student project, but it incorporated SVN on the backend and did some slick syntax highlighting in real time on the frontend. A user could login anywhere, code for a bit, commit changes and logoff.
They smiled and nodded, but it was evident that they had no idea what an IDE was let alone how a web-based IDE would enhance the development process.
It has been technically possible for years, but now with Mozilla's Tamarin, and Google's V8, more complex functionality can be added (webtellisense?).
Meh, I have a really old Logitech M-BD58. It has a weigh inside attached by a screw. It would be extraodinarily easy to replace it with a heavier or lighter weight. While the process could be made even easier, the functionality is still the same, this "feature" isn't groundbreaking.
It is my opinion that high dynamic range video is poised to replace high definition video in the distant future. Of course, HDR video requires and HDR capable viewing device, so all of the present day HDTVs would have to be replaced just as color replaced B&W and HD replaced LD.
Personally, I'd rather watch a LD HDR stream than a HD LDR one. Just don't point the camera at the sun!;p
If it is truely what they claim, it should be able to write a "better" A.I. Then use that A.I. to write a "better" A.I. Ad Infinitum! Iff a technological singularity emerges, I will believe their claims.
A non-intrusive Google-Ads-like system I could live with. A bar containing seizure inducing banners and annoying "Catch the monkey and win a gazillion iPods" flash ads would be intolerable.
It depends on how it is implemented.
Of course, why not just use a prexisting free OS?

I wish I was 2/7th of anything. Sexual reproduction be damned!
Its a deep burrrrn.
Sounds like the government's policy is security through obscurity. We all know the end result of that mantra.
In Japan, only old people have care-bots.
Here's an alternative: instead of paying with money, have senders pay in cpu cycles.
Perhaps we will get to see the ultimate showdown: Military Sharks vs. Armed Dolphins.
What sea-life won't the pentagon arm?!
"LEGO PC" ;)
But does it run linux?!
"... a man with no memory of who he is but, but somehow has infinite knowledge."
But could he microwave a burrito so hot that he couldn't eat it?
I smell a paradox.

Great. Now we'll have one-button remote zealots too!

Just once. Don't look into laser with remaining eye.
NEXT PROBLEM!!!
Do not look into laser with remaining eye. 'Nuff said.

I'm afraid they won't.

The multiwalled nanotubes did not burn at all.
They will not explode.

It seems that teachers may have a new way to boost classroom participation using a device called a STUN GUN.

1207 pins, pffft!
I'll hold out for the 1337 pin AMDs.
I for one welcome our elite cpu overlords.
Move over Elvis; Linux is the King...baby.
I'm so happy that the International Grits Network is interviewing its biggest star!
