I completely agree. I used to work construction, not exactly the greatest work environment. There's old insulation, sheetrock dust, saw dust, lack of hand-washing abilities. Surprisingly enough, I got sick twice out of the 2 years on the job. I think I got a slight cold which ended soon after it started. I believe that the more the human body encounters the more it learns to defend itself against.
What about small explosive devices that, when the player is hit, explode sending him sailing to the ground...might be an effective deterrent to "suicidal" laser tag participants. Only downside is the requirement of reloading explosives after each round...and the whole serious injury thing...whatever
Yes, with the holes in windows, and all of the infected machines everywhere, viruses do just appear....rough but true. Viruses like Sasser and Blaster, Nimda etc.
Probably not the most efficient way, but if you have to reinstall often, you could invest the time setting up a bootable slipstreamed disk with sp1 already in the OS, you can dl the updates from MS and set those to install as well. In addition to this, you can create a full unattended install, allowing you to not be present at the time. A simple googling of "unattended windows" should hook you up.
Accually saying that this is an "unpickable" lock is risky. I mean, look at the efforts by the RIAA to prevent P2P, or the anti-burning CD's with the corrupt files that crash computers, someone fixed that with a sharpie. I think that making statements like that is seriously underestimating human potential.
Yep, indestructible keyboards are virtually silent, difficult to get used to though. You probably won't have the same speed or comfort as you will with a standard keyboard but once you get it mastered, it's kinda nice to be able to roll it up and put it someplace if you need the deskspace.
I feel the same way. Could it be that you don't have to press the keys as hard? or maybe the tightness means you don't have to move your fingers as far. Either way I like it.
I believe the parent was being sarcastic...

...Swiss Cheese puts holes in you.
Watching media from the xbox: Priceless
You must remember we are on slashdot. Please define words such as "condom" in the future you insensitive clod!
be sure to read the fine print "do not install over slipstreamed version of Sp2." I did it without reading and messed up the compy. Had to reinstall.

Timing how long until I can get the mp3's
Well done, I am visitor number 7309, still up, lagged, but up nonetheless.
Will ethereal work as a passive scanner? Like used to grab packets from a MAC filtered wi-fi network that you do not have access to?
Or perhaps she puts them on national television? Oh wait, already done...

I wonder what will happen '28 Days Later' (yet another good movie)
There have been others, just none as popular or creative at this one...

We talking full-mast or half-mast?
There is a codec called The Real Alternative that plays realmedia files without the hassle of finding their free player.

Hey, this might be a dumb question but is it necessary for a static IP to be used with smoothwall? Will DynDNS suffice?
It's not necessarily the geeks. With things like geocities and automated stuff like that, it could be anyone. Right?
