Agreed, if he was smart (pun not intended), he would've ignored the trolls and made them look like idiots. Instead he felt it necessary to stoop down to their level and flame back. I expect to buy a game from a professional, not a childish bully Smart is making himself out to be.
It's a neat idea but...

Gmail in the News

I see Gmail as a novelty item right now. More of a way for people to brag about their gig of email. My pop3 account holds 15 meg, which is enough since I only give it out to personal friends (and the Dilbert Newsletter;-)). I use hotmail for registering for services and all the spam goes there. I am muchly content with my non-Gmail services.
Reminds me of a sad thing I do when some big news conference is on.
Find two or more channels with the conference, then start watching one, then flip to the other. If you get it right you'll see and hear the same thing twice (due to some 1-second delay or so, CNN usually gets it first). So if you were to hook up 7 channels for the State of the Union, you'd hear CNN Prez talk, then 6 other puppet prez's speak after him.
Anyone see anything wrong with these prices? Well, they are in Canadian so just jack down the price a bit to get an American price. But I would've thought that HW2 would have a higher price because of its popularity (Maybe its just LucasArts though).
Also I find how they bundle games together and then price them is odd. At stores I saw Tropico 2 alone is $30, while the bundle with both Tropico games plus the expansion is only $20...
In other news SCO has launched a lawsuit against the US Department of Justice for using the words "litigate" and "lawyer" without any remorse for SCO's intellucual property.
I'm sorta the same way. I've used Windows for far too long, and whenever I try to use Linux it just seems too hard to use. I've tried Redhat/Fedora and even Caldera (that was awhile ago), but they just didn't cut it for me. I could never get my DSL connection online. When I tried Mandrake, got it up in a matter of minutes. Plus I really like its feel and the fact that I can easily pull stuff from my FAT drives to use in Linux. And what perfect timing too, I recently was forced to reformat my drives, and I'll be able to install this.
Speaking of DSL, glad I have it. 2 gig download! Eep. 51 hours to go...

A few weeks ago at school there was a competition to see who could memorize the most decimal places of pi. The winner memorized around 160 places I think.
Actually, that gives me a neat idea. The entire font looks like X's, but there's like a pixel missing or added somewhere in each different letter. You print it out, its all X's, but when you OCR it, it comes up as text.
I'm sured there's a big flaw somewhere in there but that's just my thought...
Super, I (finally) upgraded my system from an AT form factor to an ATX a month ago and now there's this new BTX! Hopefully it won't go oe'er the land like a plauge of locutus too quickly...
I find it quite funny that the ad at the bottom is advertising pre-paid legal advice...
But I think it might have to do with the notices near the bottom that the page isn't affiliated with Microsoft and the disclaimer page saying it's a parody. But then again IANAL.
Sorry for pointing out a small flaw in your post, but kilograms is a unit of mass, not weight, so really you still have the same mass on Earth and Mars. SI-entifically speaking, Newtons is the unit of weight.
I guess we know why NASA goofed up on those metric-imperial conversions...;)

Not much of an agreement is it? =P
Actually, at some time there were rumors that it would be called the Nitro, which might've been its codename.

I prefer my version.

HomeWorld 2: $30
Jedi Academy: $60

This is such an invasion of privacy! I mean what's next, a unique code for each car in a state/province?
You do realize when you flush it aerates it and the fecal matter can travel up to 20 feet.
So make sure you put the cover down if you want your toothbrush to be safe.

I think it'd be possible but really hard to do.
I'd like all my outgoing phone calls to start with a voice saying: "Please Hold for the President"
Sounds like the former Iraqi Information Minister has finally found himself a job, and I bet he fits right in too...
Right here: http://windows.about.com/blhumor3.htm Amazing how simple this stuff really is.
