Considering AFI, that 'some punk band' you mentioned, is signed to Dreamworks, which is owned by Universal (Vivendi), which last I heard was a rather large record label, which one will make more money is a good question.
500 years ago, people weren't reading, they weren't really doing much of anything productive. It wasn't until the Renaissance that things really started humming.
Erm...which renaissance again are we talking about? The one that happened 600-700 years ago or some other renaissance I'm not familiar with.
Who exactly is controlling the schedule of Miyamoto? I can't imagine he's being bossed around on a timetable, he's kind of important...what forced him to end dev at a certain time? It's not like Nintendo is big on fast release schedules *cough*metroid skipping an entire console generation*cough*
I'm working at Kmart this summer for some money to buy a car. I don't normally work at the checkout, but I've been called up there when it gets busy (a rarity, but it happens) and I spent my first week there on checkouts to train in on how to use them. No less than 3 times this summer have I seen a kid come up with some product that requires a birthdate, be told this, and promptly just call over their mom and have the parent just tell me that it's ok. None of them even glanced at what the product was (one was an M-rated game, one was a GNR cd, neither of which really mattered, but one was a Motley Crue DVD that looked rather obscene). This level of parenting isn't going to care if there's a sign posted explaining the ratings-they didnt care before, they won't care now.
The main problem I had with the game was...it was impossible to win if you were playing 'white'! I couldnt get more than 10 minutes into level 3 as a good guy. Am I just really bad at this game and just don't know it, or were there some serious balance issues between the two sides.
Somehow this blurb came out in favor of DRM and Stallman at the same time...I think that, despite all the comments about the sensationalism and general idiocy, the sheer talent it took to manage that makes this a worthwhile post.
If you insist that I name popular bands, I point to P.O.D., Switchfoot, or Lifehouse as Christian bands that have achieved mainstream success. I listed bands that would be comparable to other obscure genres (I doubt many outside of christian circles know Pillar, Hawk Nelson, Further Seems Forever, or any of a number of successful bands).
If given the choice between a top 40 station and something like RadioU (christian rock radio station, but available streaming online at radiou.com), I can't think of a single music fan (of rock, obviously) that would willingly choose the former. Their may be better music in indie circles that I haven't heard, but compare anything from Thousand Foot Krutch, tobyMac or Falling Up to mainstream 'rock' like Coldplay and there's no competition.
Nobody wants to listen to religious music? Thats why several christian rock bands break 50,000-100,000 sales on every album they sell (Pillar, Skillet, etc)
I understand maybe in business circles, Blackberries might be big. But saying that it's tied with Google, which has become an everyday verb for most even outside of the computer-nerd crowd, is ridiculous.
Actually, CMT does play music a helluva lot more than MTV, VH1, or any of those channels. I'd guess it's at least 18 hours a day. Have you ever actually watched the channel?
(now, the quality of the music played is another matter entirely, but that's besides the point).
I've found this true in all samples except one: Narnia. That series is an anomaly in that, in my opinion, it's best read in the narrative order than in the order it was written.
If there's an internet user out there that hasnt heard of Runescape, I havent met him and I certainly envy him. I just don't get it-it's a boring game with a horrible interface, yet it has all this buzz. Someone explain it to me.
Especially since Halo 3 isn't a launch title. (last I heard, it's being planned to coincide with the PS3 launch)

Twilight Princess is coming out in November...on Gamecube. That's long been confirmed.

Yes, because he hasn't had reason to proclaim such a statement yet.
For those with a medium to realistic budget, Paintshop Pro has been THE solution for years.
Translation: I'm on dialup and/or can't find a decent torrent.
Dude, you have a 5-digit UID and haven't noticed the nerd communities' fascination with the number 42?

I believe they're planning to release Halo 3 concurrently with the release of the PS3.
"That's enough money to hire at least 500 senior programmers to fix their damn game."
Yes, and luckily, they can, since all their servers and bandwidth have been graciously donated at no cost by an anonymous source.
Oh, wait...
If you haven't convinced them so far, a number of bug fixes and (largely) invisible upgrades aren't really going to do much.

No, because they're not taking any more submissions. The extra 200 accepteds come out of the same batch of ~8700 applicants.

You've never heard of a Public beta, then? Most online games, at least, have a period of open sign-up for beta. This isn't that much different.
There we have it. 18 hours.
(I get the point).

Because that worked out soooo well for Square.
