    Most sensitive mobile data these days is carried over SSL surely? I can't see this being any more dangerous than connecting to a public network voluntarily.

    I think the USSR did something similar. Made a really pretty lake, if I recall, but they could never keep it stocked with fish. But I can’t find a link so it might be my imagination.

    You do realise that the City of London police force is a tiny force that isn't even representative of London police (which is the Metropolitan Police) let alone the UK police.

    City of London police is a tiny force that occupies one square mile and about 10,000 residents in a much larger urban area of around 8 million.

    Who uses the default browser nowadays? Chrome for mobile has to be one of the first apps anyone would install on an Android phone, surely?
