"you should be learning how to take down terrorists, not take down some random person who happens to piss you off."
Funny; the american government seem to have a habit of mixing the 2 up most of the time.
by some stretch of logic, couldn't the makers of Crazy Taxi also sue Rockstar for including Taxi mini-missions and the insane stunt bonus in their GTA series of games?
No, I don't think so. Sega are arguing that Simpsons RR was blatantly stealing the 'Crazy Taxi' market, meaning that they worry that people will buy Simpsons RR instead of Crazy Taxi... GTA3 DOES have a taxi mini game, but essentially they're not directly 'stealing' any customers off Sega as they're selling a totally different game type and only using the taxi feature as a small 'bonus'.
oh when will someone learn that the best platform by far is a platform such a linux which is virtually inpenetrable when privaledges are slashed security wise?
On another note, doing it in flash would be fine I bet. just don't employ companies with those bullshit 'approved' badges for software use, get a little coding genius. they always suck the big one.
this is actually a pretty wicked invention, but I don't always buy ripened fruit.... often i like to get slightly unripened fruit, or over ripe fruit.... so this is good for joe bloggs who wants to eat his/her fruit that day, but for people who like to span out food over a week, it lacks any real long term use.
This is a pretty long timescale, considering it's techno-obsessives japan doing so... here in the UK 2010 is the turn-off time as far as I'm aware, so this surprises me.... 6-7 years is a long time in the technology world.
Maybe the manufacturers should start making digital converters at less than 80 quid before they try to sell them to people on housing benefits who are glued to their TV 24/7...!
I, for one, don't care. TV is bloody atrocious, generally speaking. I'll still get a digital thing though, it's inevitable isn't it?
There's definately been a stagnant few years for RTS's. In the ages of Command & Conquer, Total Annihilation and Age Of Empires, I couldn't get enough, but someone milked the same formula far far FAR too much and killed the key original concepts.
As far as I can see, people became desperate to improve on something that wasn't 'broke' and made worse and worse DEvolutions of a genre which once sailed high.
I'll still never forget the endless playing of C&C and TA.... but its gone stale now... im not sure if they'll ever return to quality of the great games of their hayday, but it'd be nice to think so.
Do you think he gets bullied at school for having that thing?
I think I'm going to give this guy the address of the videogame magazine i used to work for so that he can nick their debug xbox with transparent case and save himself from any more embarassment.
.... can someone actually tell me what potential application this has... i.e. how far it'll get a rocket.... will it just be a quicker trip to mars for probes or are we looking at something which could send probes out the solar system and beyond...? If so... how long will/would it take to get to amrs, and simiarly, are we anywhere near reaching the nearest star after the sun?:)
Spam assasin is on my server and is absolutely brilliant.. it catches 99.9% of all my spam, and has only on 5-10 occasions in the past month (i get about 50-60 emails a day) counted 'innocent' mail as spam... and even those were newsletters....
Anyone who slates SpamAssasin is one very deluded person... its Open Source, constantly improved... open to editing by it's users, rules can be added.... marvellous.
Commercial variants ive seen have been painfully badly implemented and not worked properly. Get SpamAssasin and fight the closed source lovers:)
Good application for it... i didn't realise it worked inside logic actually... i thought it was only seperate apps and now you say that, it seems like a more valuble feature... i think i could really do with that kind of system for Logic/Cubase SX on my PC..... the number of times I've rooted around for windows in Cubase is immeasurable!
I've tried Explose, but ultimately see no more merit than clicking on the dock, or for a windows user like myself, the taskbar.... it just seems like another little feature that doesnt really do much for traditional users... I've used windows '95 since, well, '95...and if windows integrated an expose' type function, i'd never ever use it purely because I'm so used to the old methods of the taskbar... I discarded the new xP 'towering' of similar items on the taskbar within about a day because i saw no use for it.
Expose is all very well for newcomers to machines, but ultimately it moves different OS's and interfaces (gnome, windows, macOS) further and further apart so people are less and less familiar when and if they need to use another system/OS at one point.
There are ways of doing this, however the processes to do so would be heavy and most probably need to be server AND client side; effectively you could make it store the XML in a database, e.g. columns of id, red, blue, green and feed it back out to XML....
It's a long way round it, but it WOULD reduce size significantly, even if it was done with a crude flat file.
By making a smaller super computer you're most probably adding the potential to house lots of them together, essentially getting more TF per square metre. However, the issue is raised that can these survive the heat?
The other difference and potential problem when compared to a cluster is that in a cluster, if one machine fails, there's usually measures to just know that one machine out the network and carry on.... with smaller and smaller machines we are posed the problem that if this '30 inch tv' sized unit fails, so does the entire super computer.
There's arguments for and against each, but as we all know, the best option will always be smaller when it becomes practical, affordable and reliable. After all, they best hurry these machines along ready for the release of Doom 3;-).
Very intelligent comment. We must therefore make assuptions that all arab people are criminals and idiots, 'cos like, a few arabs have commited crimes.
If you have a power blackout, then 90% of people can't use the net anyway as there would be no electricity for the computer.... and even laptop users are only going to get 3 or so more hours out of it.
And anyone notice where this came from? Yes, a source who are BOUND to be against it.... biased? noooooooooooo, course not;-)
Variable: - A quantity capable of assuming any of a set of values. - A symbol representing such a quantity. For example, in the expression a2 + b2 = c2, a, b, and c are variables.

So, um, basically, noone can put directional arrows guiding the player to their destination/goals then? Impressive patent....

Made perfect sense, unless you're french and don't understand 2 english sentences or something.
unintentional, but the mere fact that you noticed it was a php closing tag means you yourself dabble in the code of the devil.
anyway, back on topic, i still think we should be allowed to squeeze all we like!
...i dont trust anyone who uses so many bevels, saturated colours and drop shadows on their site, so i wont be buying this book
Sure, here you go. I'll give you lessons on how to tell if it's ripe if you like?>

Then again, is that really XML then?

I'm waiting for OSX 'Tabby' edition.

It ISN'T variable. It's just a string.
My dear facetious friend, they're strings/words, not variables :-)
but it's not like it wasn't just lying around to begin with
Waste is different to initial material.. a lot doesnt actually become dangerous till it's been 'used'
But can they survive a /. Linux/Windows/Mac flame war?
