Well, I too scoffed at the idea of a Power Pack movie. But no one said it will be marketed towards adults. This could be totally directed at kids. When I was much (much) younger and collected this series I would have paid money to see the movie.
It's Ant-Man that makes me think they got too money happy.
inertial confinement fusion. I'ts not new, but getting better. Most labs are not trying to reach break even point. It's more of a research tool.
And to everyone who has/will ask 'when will these ever get us energy? We've been hearing about fusion for years!'. The new Tokamak being built in France right now is the first one that physicists expect to reach break even point. No other reactors were ever expected to generate more energy than they consumed. They were all for research purposes, to get them to the point they are at now. Probably the same for this new inertial confinement one in Europe.
The silver lining is that Samsung also makes mp3/ogg players, so Apple can't have a complete monopoly. They say they will have a 4gb flash player out next year.
Looks like Samsung is wooing Apple with a price reduction. Samsung also makes mp3 players. Seems like they would hoard the memory for themselves. Maybe they have figured out the sweet spot, in terms of profit, of how much to keep for themselves and how much to sell to the best selling brand.
Ah, the Open Media Commons initiative. Without taking sides on the issue of DRM I think I can safely say that 'open' and 'commons' has nothing to do with DRM
I fucking hate Orwellian terms. Are computer users that unread that this terminology actually works somehow?
No. geez, I was just making an observation. I never even expressed my opinion. The quote at the bottom of/.'s page seemed pertinent to the post I was replying to. That's it. that's all.
If you don't like the quote, go argue with/., or better yet, Seymour (Sy) Leon.
I wonder if the market can ever support more than 2 consoles. Sega went under after Playstation came out. This may be the ultimate result (for Nintendo) of the success of the Xbox.
Maybe this is the final word on the matter, but I'm pretty sure these levies were ended months ago. Any mp3 player fanatic in Canada (such as I) probably noticed the significant reduction in prices.
You can now roughly predict the price of an Ipod in Canada by just taking it's US dollar price and doing the exchange rate. It used to be that it was much more expensive here.
Most distros just use the default Gnome or KDE theme. Through laziness or maybe they think it actually is the best default. I don't know.
Most people theme theirs though. It doesn't matter to me what the theme is that comes wih a distro; I'm going to change it. Some distros probably realize that we do this and don't bother putting an effort into the looks.
A few distros look different, like Blag. Hmm, that's not very pretty. Maybe that's why distros should stick to the KDE and Gnome default themes.
yeah, I forgot about that. I had read that they just renamed USB 1.1 to 2.0 Fullspeed, so that it's exactly, not just almost, like 1.1. Tricky bastards.
Although Dap Review, where I got the info from about the mobiBlu, seems to think it's the faster one.
Everything on the page is quantum this and quantum that. Hell, my right pinky is quantum if you want to get technical.
Well, their RAM (if it actually exists oustide of someones head) is actually some form of holographic storage according to this other page of theirs.
So you admit to having the first 30, eh?

Even if solar cells were 100% efficient, they would not be able to power our cities. The intensity of sunlight on the earth is not that high.
The future (for large scale energy needs) is either fusion or fission.
We do work on technologies that are working now. Scientists are not a collective that only work on one thing at a time.
Most scientists do not agree that fusion will never realize a 1:1 power ratio.

Enceladus, apparently continues to provide confusion and excitement for scientists the world over.
Why? Is Enceladus a naked girl?
Har har har.
This can't possibly be harder than adamantium. Otherwise Captain America would have used it instead for his shield.
Actually, large amounts of money could be involved. No ice means new shipping routes. There's already a war of words brewing over land up there.
Anybody know how much he's getting paid?

Thanks, it was very useful. Even though I'm not using e17 now...Maybe one day.
This thread is a bit more straightforward as it's focused only on installing e17.
I like competition. Maybe one of them won't be DRM'd up the ass.
Wishfull thinking, I know...

Use this. No malware and crap like it used to be with windows.
Let's get that phone number, I've got time to remind them that they're responsible to me, the taxpayer.
Even more fun would be if the article had given a link to the school website. That would learn 'em.
Screenshots.
More words. This may be tedious to do all at once, but if you are reading the book anyway just do it everytime you finish a page.
Once you boot from the live cd, there's also an installer if you want to install it. The usual Knoppix script I think.

This guy has similar views. Both sound plausible.
Reminds me of Sega's end.
