I believe 'next gen' to be refering to consoles recently released. It has nothing to do with the power or complexity of the console. Otherwise computers would always be better at playing games than whatever the current 'next gen' consoles are and that isn't necessarily true.

Hilarious. Having not baught a console since SNES, the wii is the ONLY console in the last 10 or so years that I have even considered buying. All the other consoles always seemed to be tailored to children with fighting games, button mashing, racing games (I have a car, why would I want to drive one in a game??), etc. It is funny but true that humans always associate "free" or "cheaper" with worse quality. We have free gourmet coffee machines at work and you still see people paying for $5 starbucks or whatever. Unless you think its fun to go on multiple MC runs and get maybe one set piece a month - raiding 3 times a week. The forced battlegrounds pvp sucks too, as its pretty much a numbers game - grinding for honour. Battlegrounds killed wow world PVP. You used to have huge brawls at TM and that was really really fun. Then battlegrounds came in and suddenly no one world pvped anymore. They for sure could have used some sort of player housing or investment in the game world that didnt consist of aquiring items with a few points more of INT or stam. Houses, castles, player forts - the ability to drop items on the ground!. Like you have no way to alter the world invironment at all. Its static. How do you make your mark? By your name only? Wow was fun, but its more of the fun of being addicted than the fun of a long lasting place I would want to go to. At a certain point everyone realizes that unless they want to spend massive amounts of time playing, there really isnt that much more to do.

I was in a lineup for a ps3 last night. We heard many comments from assholes such as yourself calling us idiots and stupid and retards. That attitutde quickly disapeared when they actually engaged us, found out that all of us were planning on flipping them for between 2000-3000 PROFIT. As one person said to the line, "Looks like some people dont have to work tommorrow", and I yelled back "I AM working!".
I only stayed till 11pm, after waiting 8 hours in line. I was number 5, and the night manager came out and said that there were only 4 consoles in the store. Fucking assholes. They had been saying between 10 and 8 all day. The first 4 had gotten there two days before me so I didnt feel so bad about loosing out to them.

We should not be trying to create MORE artificial scarcity. There is enough real world scarcity to go around.
