Why should TPSreports.txt be different than tpsreports.txt . A file name is for you, and the first filename is alot easier to read than having them all lower case. So because its more visually apealing to a human the linux machine croaks as it cant wrap its head around the fact that wow its the same file.

UO2 was designed like over 5 years ago and scrapped. It was so horrible that they just rolled some of the better features it into the current game and made a 3d client out of it. A 3d client where you could stack things on the 2d client and then not see them on the 3d one. That was great fun. Lots of little bugs like that. I remember reading something that no more than like 2% of the playerbase actually used the 3d client for any length of time. Personally i always thought they should have improved ship travel. The fact that ships were the biggest dupe/leveling tool in the game probably made them shy away from introducing features there. Still some massive ship to ship battles with pirates and shit could have really saved that game.

No ones moving back to UO. Uo was an amazing game 8 years ago but people generally like to move forward in technology not backwards. The only things EA EVER added to that game were stupid little trinkets (holliday bags, fake rares etc) and overpowered weaponry ( i remember when invulnerable meant something ) just so people think its changing. Problems with sound

If you're having glitches/choppy sound, you can either nicen the wine process by starting wow in the command line with:

    nice -n 19 wine WoW.exe -opengl
    Warning: o rly?

I think nice -n 19 will reduce the priority of the process and likely increase performance problems. nice -n -19 would increase the priority, but normally a non-root user can not increate the priority of a process. Perhaps sudo nice -n -19 su username -c "wine WoW.exe -opengl" will have the effect you want.

or edit the WoW configuration file (~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/World of Warcraft/WTF/Config.wtf) with your favourite editor, adding this line:

    Code: ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/World of Warcraft/WTF/Config.wtf

    SET SoundBufferSize "70"

This is a millisecond delay count. You're free to play with it to get it just right, but be sure to not set it too high or you will notice delays between action on the screen and sound actually occuring.

Ok so maybe *I* could figure out wtf that paragraph means but come on. Even still, ive never used the command nice before in my life. Your telling me its acceptable for a program to need this level of tweaking to just get the sound working? I work all day fixing computers.
