well he was talking about the 1990s and your talking about the ~50s?

I remember seeing plenty of first or second run movies at the eaton center in toronto for 2.50 matenee and 4.25 evenings, up until they closed around 1999. AND you could drink liquor and sometimes if you got lucky smoke weed in the theaters.

People just use the RIAA as a scapegoat, as a way to make themselves forgot about the human beings in the band whose music they're pirating. It's easier to demonize some faceless company than realize, "Hey, I'm making sure System of a Down doesn't get paid today."

Good choice n00blet, the one band who has a CD with the title "STEAL THIS ALBUM" doesnt endorse pirating. oh yeah....

Truely creative bands want to get their music to the masses. Ask any band, whoes not a multimillionaire and they will tell you " i just want people to hear what ive created ". I know this becuase my father is one of those musicians.

The point of music is to tell a story, not to generate profit. Im sorry you've given in to the industry brainwashing here. Never before has so much art been available for free, to the masses. This is a good thing as good art drives the culture to imagine. Why do you want to kill societies dreams?

" the nancy regan skeleton says just say no,
the rastaman skeleton say blow nancy blow!"

anyways, i would never have found that and thus got a small pang of enjoyment from it, without p2p.
what happened to the time when all artists wanted you to hear their music? now they want you to buy it, in preference to just hearing it. what a wonderful world.

"Wha eye no see, heart no leap" means that something terrible could happen but if you don't
see it, you are not frightened. (29)

"mi come here fi drink milk, mi noh come here fi count cow". A remimder
to conduct business in a straightforward manner. (22)

"The higher the monkey climbs the more him expose". A truly comic image if

"A city upon the hill cannot be hidden." same as above (29)

I personally believe that language will just evolve so that our childrens children, will be almost incomprehensible to us. as you can see, having africans speak english for 400 years in jamaica gave them there own particular flavour of the language.
