This kid is not a reason to legalize pot for everyone's use, and doing so would probably be a major drain on the economy. Potheads are less productive in normal jobs, much more prone to schizophrenia with its attendant expenses, and etc etc. What proof do you have that casual use of this will cause all of these things? I've known quite a few people that have used it casually and have been very successful. In fact Bill Clinton and Obama both have used it.

If it were legalized then there would be a lot less drug related crime (both violent and non-violent) since there would no longer be a black market for the stuff.

The first option informs you at a later time so you don't know. Not to mention there are some streets where you don't know the speed limit/can't see it through some giant SUV, etc...

That said, Vista is a *huge* improvement over XP and actually makes me not hate windows. It is certainly more mac like than before (thank you for making a home folder under users!)

Huh? That's not accurate at all. With the exception of FPSers on the xboxes the markets for pc games and consoles is vastly different. PCs do not really have RPGs (other than the MMO variety), racing games, sports, nor fighting games.

For the most part I keep my windows PC around for WoW and an occasional strategy game and play my gamecube, ps2, and ds for all of my other gaming. Both the PC and console games can be innovative (though I don't see any on the FPS front in the past 5-10 years). WoW for the PC is good at showing this while a large portion of the games out for the DS show it on the other side.

You clearly don't have a monitor larger than 19". I *hate* Windows for having a maximize button instead of a zoom button. I don't want firefox taking up the entirety of my 20" widescreen monitor when the content is designed to fit in a width of 768 pixels. Maximizing most windows to 1680 or more pixels wide is an INCREDIBLE waste of screen realestate. The zoom button is used to combat this and to have a button that will automatically resize a window to be the most efficient size for you. Also it is not determined at compile time. Load up many different sites in Safari and use the zoom button on them. You will find that the zoomed size will differ between different sites.

Part of the point of the GPL is to open source as many things as possible in a virus-like manner. There is no reason that Linux-NTFS can't dual license with the LGPL. Apple would get what they want and any changes they make to Linux-NTFS would be given back and they wouldn't have to GPL their whole kernel.

The GPL does impose it's beliefs on people. That's the other point that it has. There is no freedom of choice for developers with the GPL.
