Same reason AC's like yourself get modded up after making the billionth-and-one time making such a non-observant reply ? (billionth-and-one since the first one was made as an FP by an AC, commenting on nothing...)
Just keep in mind that the best comedy lies within repetition (of a joke/gesture/comment)
Forgot to check the extra threads, and once submitting the post, also thought 'un-insightful' might have been a bit harsh considering you were still trying to deal out (correct) info;)
The key gets bound to a personal account : Ok, so the account + account password can be sold ; But it can't be reactivated...(or de-activated for that matter)
In that episode George is denied an apartment because one of the other applicants is a survivor of the Andrea Doria (a ship that collided with the Stockholm in dense fog 21 miles off the coast of Nantucket ; thank Kramer for that info;) )
Whereas the story told by the other applicant is supposedly true, George, in his pissed-off-ness, bagatalises the whole situation.
Bit from the transcript :
KRAMER: (Like a teacher) The Andrea Doria collided with the Stockholm in dense fog 21 miles off the coast of Nantucket. (Makes a clicking sound with his tongue)
(Everyone's taken back by Kramer's knowledge)
GEORGE: How do you know?
KRAMER: it's in my book - "Astonishing Tales of the Sea" 51 people died.
GEORGE: 51 people?!
KRAMER: That's it?! I thought it was, like, a thousand!
KRAMER: There were 1,650 survivors.
GEORGE: That's no tragedy! How many people do you lose on a normal cruse? 30? 40?! Kramer, can I take a look at that book? (Starts walking toward the door.)
(Kramer grabs his food, and follows)
KRAMER: Oh yeah. I also got "Astounding Bear Attacks"
I bet that's how some of the turned-down applicants to Guildhall must have felt;)
The forced enclosings are purely safety triggers against their own linearity : When they wouldn't put in these safe walls, people would be scattered -all over the map- ; Not exactly something they wanted... this time around (HL1 had lots of sections that involved going in between loading areas : Also causing alot of annoyances when stuck in a map).
I had a few instances in which i kinda cheated on the linearity ; One of them being the first time you get to drive the buggy : Instead of jumping the rocky gap I pushed my vehicle up using my grav-gun (after failing a few times jumping the gap... not having discovered my car -also- had a 'sprint' (turbo) mode:)
Overall though (i havent finished it yet) HL 2 is a great sequel, and the gravity-engine (thanks Havok!) adds so much to my game experience.
Job well done to VALVe, and especially to the very inventive leveldesigners, who brought it all together.
I wanted to bother to reply : But thanks for saying all i wanted to say;)
Ohwait, little to add ; Same as the people who use these little gadgets to f*ck up other people's mobile phones ; Not that -I- own a mobile phone (i'm one of the sole survivors left) ; but it's one of the most cowardly ways to just get someone to turn off/speak less loud on their phone.
" There really is no way around large demos, aside from scaling back content a ton. High res textures, complex level geometry, high quality sound, all of this adds to the demo's size."
Tell that to these guys : http://www.theproduct.de/
XS4ALL was the first ISP in the Netherlands ; founded in 1993; and setup by hackers.
2 of the 4 founders of XS4ALL were editors at HackTic ; a paperprinted Slashdot at the time;) http://www.hacktic.nl/
They were succesfull from the first day that they started selling internet access to the consumer ; and kinda set first foot in that area, dragging alot of new ISP's into the market over the years.
Currently they are one of the more expensive ISP's around ; but the whole company radiates the Google-vision : 'do no evil'.
Their customer service was one of the best i -ever- had ; I only found out later that most of their helpdesk are actually screened for -really- knowing about computers ; instead of reading from an autocue all day long.
"looks like GBA games will be compatible (although that goes against everything else I've read)."
This has been known, and confirmed, for quite some time though.
Anxious to get my hands on this new DS ; I really hope that the developers will use the double screen for better gameplay ; and not just gimmicky as i've seen it in the mayor titles (eg. being used as a radar/inventory screen) ; allthough Wario Ware showed some fun ways of using the stylus.
Also very cool to see they are including an MP title with it ; and the whiteboard functions could potentially rock.
"Now, if you want to blame MS for some dodgy browser code that lets sites slip spyware onto the machine without them knowing, that is fair. But blaming MS for the mere existance of spyware on Windows is just silly."

The abstract of the proposal is available on the Need For Speed website"
WTF?

If your 'puter is compromised, the nice accountname + accountpassword is neatly stored in a textfile : Ready to be taken.

Ifnot ; Any plans in the future to make one ? (with animation I'm aiming at an animated movie)
I am told if I finish this game under the ultra secret Legendary level ; it will even mention what year they're meaning with that ! ;)
Compo, would have to be welfare-money ; Or a 'dole-bludger' (sp?) (by lack of a better word)
With the demographics of Slashdot, a "5. Profit !" can't be missed in that list.

It's not done yet, but they seem to be near completion.

Since you're asking : Wario Ware :D

Thanks all for the tips/replies.
Does anyone here know of any good sites with a collection of tools to be used with the ipod? (think of converting tools/itune tools)
I did some quick googling around, but only stumped onto individual projects.
Any help would be appreciated.
