"...since the gameplay in Manhunt was rather solid."
Solid ? How about boring ?
All the missions were the same, and it really gets boring to hit someone over the head with a club the umptieth time.
Besides that, i found the AI to be very dumb : Come on, it's 2004 , we don't need invisible barriers for enemies, now do we ?
Seriously though, what did you like in particular about that game ?
IO Interactive and Eidos have announced to issue an extra patch for all the Hitman series, updating your kick-ass mean mofo playercharacter, with these new barcodes.
Yep, with a limited budget that kinda put me off Second Life (building your own buildings is something that sounds ok-ish) : then again, for this one-time 10$ fee, i might give it a try, to even see if it's anything.
I have been using Firefox for some time now, and very satisfied with it ; much less crashing, and only once and awhile i have to switch back to use IE for an IE-only-site.
One 'problem' or more a nitpick, which i thought was going to be fixed in 0.9.0 is the in-ability to click on the blue hyperlink text of the download manager, once it finishes its download, and pops up at the bottom right of the screen.
I read before alot of people et 'fooled' into clicking this, and also IIRC, i saw a Bugzilla-fixlist, in which this bug was reported, and would be fixed.
Anyone still has this problem ? Ifnot, any clues why i still can't click it ?(well, i can, but to no effect;) )
Lol, i remember playing Ducktales, and while humming along on the chorus / Ducktales song, i remember switching to Phil Collin's 'You can't hurry love' - If you still remember how the Ducktales song goes ; give it a try:D
The multiplayer component (or at least the maps) were made by Splashdamage, the same developers as the free RTCW game, Enemy Territory.
So it isn't totally 'id only' games they will be playing ; Hell, the multiplayer bliss that ET delivered, will be overshadowed by this MP experience ; Im betting my socks;)
"Does anyone remember a video game called, I hate to give my age away by bringing this one up, Jane of the jungle? Not the best game but it had some cool quirks, such as if you didn't do anything for a period of time, jane would start to tap her toe waiting for you, if you still did nothing for about a min, she would look at her watch.
It would be nice to see some more interesting things like this happening in games, not that I think they would be better for it, but it would show a level of having fun with the game while creating it."
Most of today's games use that , and it's not only conformed to sidescrollers/platforms only.
It's seen alot in First person shooters too, and i admit it's very funny to see 'myself' spin around my shotty once and awhile;)
Also don't forget that alot of concepts of those oldtimers are converted over to nowaday's games : Either being released as the same sort of game (Frogger for instance) or being converted in a new look (3d) but basically still having the same gamemechanics (alot of Smash T.V. clones come to mind).
I liked the Frogger game though ; it initially still had the same gameplay, only scattered out over a bigger map.
The best 'in-between' way for re-releasing games would be to include the original with the re-made version ; either by unlocking it, or by typing in a code.
The day VALVe announced what the multiplayer component would be Counter-strike (and the videocam-footage appeared on the Net) : They kinda implied that it would come with HL2 for free (otherwise there would be no MP compartment).
I think you might be confused with the different packages they are , afaik, still going to sell over Steam : As in, packages with only the SP part ; and to either buy packages, or rent them for a certain period.
"Or, maybe Moore sees P2P as an advertising medium to drive sales of movie tickets? In which case, you'd probably want a low-quality CAM capture to be floating around the net."
I am speaking for myself here, but the only movies i tend to see in the cinema are the flicks that have alot of special/sound effects that a cammed copy i would be watching on my 'puter would not reach : On the other hand, documentaries, whereas sound is the most important, isn't too important for me to see in the cinema, as i get the geste of it in a cammed-version.
I agree with your mainpoint though, where you say that it would be in his best interest to put a copy up for download : Then again, don't think Lionhead studios would be too cool with that.
Whereas it's good to see that they aren't blaming the game/movie for such unresponsible parenting/bad luck : What is this article doing on Slashdot ?
I'm the last person to whine about contents on Slashdot, but I wondered what the editors had in mind to slip this one through : It seriously has -nothing- to do with games, and -nothing- with anything Slashdot related : it's stuff i normally find on Fark.
How bout next time including the end tag 'hilarity ensues' ?
When replying, i noticed i am replying to your sig, which is on-topic : "Would you rather have a playstation addicted dork wearing a star wars t-shirt?"
In other words, would I like to get the real information from a game, instead of a hollow chick in a bikini 'promoting' the game ?

One of my first movies i walked out of : Damn, -that- was a boring movie :)
And super-cool nifty weapons upgrades de-luxe in Gradius (which rocked ;) )
hence i got this first post ;)

Damn, i am looking for the +1 "Streetfighter" mod , but i can't find it ! ;-)
Never read that Co-op would be excluded from the PC version : any evidence to confirm that statement ?
You are really going for the goodies uh :P

Always a bit hard to be corrected by a AC : But, mkay.
oh, i thought the real question was 'Does it run Linux?' ;)

Nice post.
Nah, we just have to show you the link to this article again : http://www.hollywoodbitchslap.com/feature.php?feat ure=1150
so you can willfully ignore it, to post your dumb Slate-shit again next time Moore's movie comes up.

If they make good games, they dont have to worry.
In other words, would I like to get the real information from a game, instead of a hollow chick in a bikini 'promoting' the game ?
No, i don...... wait a second : yes, i do.
