    yeah.
    here in Poland, people who earn yearly more than 74000 PLN = 18500 USD (roughly) must pay 40% tax. Which makes them earning 11100 USD instead of 18500. Or 30`000`000 instead of 50`000`000 USD ;/

    fellow readers from Poland please correct me, I checked here

    so. if Gates was about to make his money in Poland we should be able to launch rocket to Mars :) But I guess our crippled government will just lose all that money :>

    thank you very much for this information. I must standarize my notation somehow. Most problems I have are just because I'm not aware what types should I distinguish.

    I have more questions if you don't mind.

    what is your convention for giving class/struct/typedef names? (I tend to use prefix class_ struct_ type_ respectively - is that enough or something more sparks to your mind?)

    some hints about function names? (or just what do you prefer `foo_bar()` or `FooBar()` ? I just cannot make a legitimate decision on this topic)

    do you use c++ namespaces? (I almost always start my c++ program with 'using namespace std;') If yes, then what names do you give to them?

    could you elaborate a little on meaning of "m_f" and "g_f" and for what those are acronyms? I bet that "g" stands for global, but I have no idea what "m" or "f" should mean... What other variable types (apart from m_f and g_f) do you have?

    honestly I just want to learn from you how should I distiguish my own variables (local/global .. what more?)

    gimp is obviously better than uh-oh-photoshop.

    and it has customizable keyboard shortcuts, which allows you to work on image without even moving your mouse off the image (to reach uh-oh-lame-icons)

    what are you talking about? give me at least one example on how you would make it impossible for me to copy something.

    everything can be ripped (eg. with dd command) everything can be put on the web for others to download.

    better you would ask how the law should look like, when everyhitng is possible to copy.

    Why on earth wouldn't I want windows to play back videos fresh out of the box.
    I'm sure the average windows user wouldn't want to have to play around with selecting/installing video playback software when all they want to do is playback a clip they've downloaded.
    My poor Mum!!!

    Before transferring your pictures to the frame, you may want to use a graphics program like Photoshop to resize all your pictures to the monitor's native resolution. That will save a little CPU power and a lot of hard drive space.

    I don't know what photoshop is, but I know that the best program for task described above is a batch job running convert.

    hey, I just checked that photoshop is not a linux program, why this guy is talking about non-linux programs?

    lunokhod.... well that's how americam people would prnounce this name. Here in Polad we rather write lunochod, and this name translated into english means: 'moon walker', surprising, isn't it?

    btw, no need to add that Polish people (being close neighbours to Russia) knew about lunochod for years ;)

    this is plain stupid:

    1. uses CPU power to detect faked currency, making usage of personal computer a bigger harrassment than it currently is.

    2. does not prevent criminals from counterfeiting at all - if they are smart enough to use correct paper they will be smart enough to use other printer or other drivers

    3. I'm sure you will get more argumets why this idea is stupid, as I have ran out of mine.

    please consider your market strategy again

    (btw: shame what you did to HP49, nonetheless you're still for me a great company)

    Also if you look at Buy.com's music store you'll see that instead of Apple's flat and mild DRM policy (same policy all songs), music company's can restrict you to how often you can copy music to your player and how many times you can play a song and if you can burn it to CD (the ability to do this may be in AAC files, i'm not sure, but it has not been enabled)

    I wonder how those marketing practice (protected files) will make their way into linux? The place where everybody can mount cdrom as a loopdevice, and copy files wherever they want.
