Well I guess its a good thing that more and more movies are being made/shot in Canada these days. w00t! Let the bit torrents begin!

Seriously how is this stupid US law going to translate in the real world.

Lets say for example that some movie is made in Canada, by a US Producer. Lets also say that they send a copy to an animation server farm down in New Zealand (I think Peter Jackson has such a facility down there).

If the movie is leaked from Canada onto the web, is the law enforceable?

If the movie is leaked from New Zealand onto the web, is the law enforcable?

In either case probably not. In which case the law really only exists for two purposes. One is to stop people in the US, from doing leaks. Two is to keep the Movie industry centeralized in the US market.

Lets face it all this is, is a way that the US can promote their industry without having to compete. Usual scare tatics. How much money do you think these corporations REALLY lose due to this leakage. How much PR do they get from it (unless their movie sucks balls I suppose)...

Anyway it seems I have entered into the tinfoil hat territory, and they are probably watching so I am out of here!

Are they all moonlighting as signiture analysts? Its just stupid. If anyone questioned my sig, I would be pretty pissed.

The second is that most either don't check or don't care, or like I mentioned above are no qualified to really make these kind of decisions anyway. An example of this is when I was in high school, my mom wanted me to pick something up for her at the store, so she just gave me her credit card. I was in my teens and didn't think it would work, so she wrote a note and said to call if there was a problem. Well I am not sure howmany teenagers have a gold card, but the cashier didn't care. I signed my own name, they checked and did say a thing.... So as a security feature, pretty useless.

They come up with the ITX platform so that they could pimp off these horrible processors. From what I have read they are not good for much of anything except single task as an mp3 player. Now with dual it MAY be able to play a DVD without dying... but probably not as the onboard grafix are weak to say the least. Don't get me wrong, ITX as a technology is pretty interesting, but lack of performance is a major problem. Eveyone knows the pros and cons of dual processors (probably here anyway), so the likelihood of anything taking advantage of it is unlikey. In all it will probably let you play a mp3 AND do someting else rather than just single tasking. Perhaps if they spent more time on their processors and less time on their boards they might get somewhere... who knows maybe they are... but anyway in all likelihood a VIA ITX DUAL will still be underpowered for all but the simplest applications.
