And BTW... I agree with the "reciprocy" we are giving to the americans;)
As an American I do find that somewhat humorus myself, however, isn't that costing Brazil a decent bit in manpower and money just to be able to do this? Seems like a waste just to spite someone.
How is not finding them a "good" thing? If theres something there that shouldn't be then by George we need to know. Turning a blind eye to improperly inserted code is just as the theft itself.
This was true originally but in the past 3-5 years the dual-channel GPS feeds were combined into one accurate feed. Now your handheld GPS uses the same signal as the guys hunting Osama.
And why not? Have you priced tractors lately? If you don't have alot to pull or plow, an appropiate technology.
Indeed, tractors (and farming equipment in gereral) never made it big in India because an adult male was only allowed to own up to 16 acres of land (possibly even less). You'd be more efficient with an Ox and a plow with so litte a space.
And McDonald's paid dearly for their poor customer service in 2001 and 2002. Everytime I walked in one (which wasn't often in the last few years) I was generally greeted with apathy and sometimes outright disgust from employees who didn't really wan't to be there and didn't care how you felt at all. Remember the huge revenue losses posted by McDonald's not too long ago?
Not long after their financial troubles surfaced you could notice a stark chage in employee attitudes when you went in. I am now generally greeted by Thank Yous and Have a nice days. McDonald's is one of the few Mega-corps that managed to spot their error before it runined them.
Yes, he does so in much the same manner as murderers, rapists, and theives create jobs for law-enforement, judical officials, and lawyers.
However just because a company employs a lot of people to fight spam doesn't mean that if spam were halted that we would have fewer jobs. The resources companies spent on fighting spam could go instead to expanding their core business and therefore create more jobs in that manner.
As it is you and I, the customers, are paying extra because of companies having to spend money just to prevent being deluged in unwated 1's and 0's traveling their network.
This is somewhat offtopic, but doesn't anyone think that Israel has bigger problems to deal with right now, instead of distributing OpenOffice.org CDs?
Because God knows that if you have troubles with your neighbors you should Immediately cease any attempt at doing silly little things like bettering your information infrastructure or freeing up valuble resources that were previously going to a monopoly that was selling you software that you couldn't use properly.
This guy better be glad this was posted at 3am on Christmas morning or he would have been Slashdotted 40 times over by now.....
Perhaps he has a chance at surviving?
Duh, they had it done a week ago, however they chose today to release it in a cunning plan to make geeks stay home so the developers wouldn't have to wait in line. Clever bastards......
Ahhh yes... I remember those days quite well. A Groklaw story was lucky to get 50 comments, but each and every one of them added to the conversation. Now the articles get upwards of 150-200 with tons of "me too!" comments while the real gems get buried in the rubbish.
Seems to me that Groklaw is in serious need of adopting the Slashdot moderator system.
Doing so would have been a bad idea (though with good intentions) simply because the book it came in would rely on that copy of 6.2 when it explains things. The CDs in the back of such books are usually stripped-down copies of the distro (2 CDs instead of 3 usually).
If the book tells a user to do something for 6.2 and they have 9.0 they will likely get confused real quick, which is NOT something you want to happen to someone just learning Linux. Best let them use 6.2 a bit, if they really like it they'll find out about newer versions on their own.
Try upwards of 25%! On my 1.6GHz Win XP machine with screen saver client it would take approx. 20 hours for one WU. With command line that number is reduced to 4 hours. I haven't tested a pure Linux command line yet (no X server running).
I don't care if you're Linus Fricking Torvalds, if you run RHE on a mission critical production machine you ALWAYS buy support. Of course, a few of that 10% probly still buy or get support, just not from Redhat

Ton of pictures on a personal webpage?

If I'm not mistaken whan't it Intel themselves that said that the theoretical limit was fast approaching?

I wish there was more adult open-sores software.
What kind of pr0n have YOU been looking at....

This would solve the long-debated African Swallow migratory problem that has been raging for decades.
Well its Monday, 'scuse the poor math, but thats more of a 75% increase in speed ......

Actually, it should be:
Q. Why did the Certified Linux Eng. cross the road?
A. Someone told him the MCSE could do it better.
Google Employee 1: Hey Tom, did you move my coffee cup?
Google Employee 2: Geeze Mike... I didn't expect a sort of Spanish Inquisition...
Darl McBride, David Boies, and Chris Sontag burst through the door
Grand Inquisitor McBride: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
